Ughhh, at 3:20 I messed up. Said the wrong thing. Meant to say: client asks for short but not clean, barber says “what do you mean? Short IS clean.” By that I mean, someone will tell me “I want it short on the sides but like, not lined up” something to that effect, and in those cases a clipper with a two guard will create a very tidy fresh look, where scissors will create a softer (messier) look. Then instead of putting a line up on the edge you just leave it alone, maybe buzz the fuzz next to the edge but leave the edge alone.

Hijacking your precious comment to ask you a question I had a hairdresser who would cut my curly hair using a tool that looked exactly like a barber's folding shaving razor, except it didn't have a straight blade but it was rather "curly" or resembling a saw blade It would yield amazing results, while scissors don't make my hair just as amazing Do you know what was actually happening and how can I ask something similar to my current hairdresser?

The best thing to do here is to just try different hairstyles, because tbh the barber doesn’t really know, because something that they think looks good you might not like, which brings their reviews down and so on, so just look at your hair type and just try hairstyles, some you may have to wait for to grow out and may have a weird transition period but just experiment.

Even if you dont feel confident in your look right now, give it a try and fake it (confidence, not arrogance). Thank you so much! I'm sooo glad natural texture is coming back these days!! For almost as long as I remember, I've been fighting with my hair dressers to keep my natural waves. I've always prefered a more messy and natural look but more often than not I've ended up with a cut that felt way too clean for my liking. On top of that, when I grew it out too much, it would look weird/not in shape and no one knew how to handle that. I still haven't found the right person to achieve this look with my hair, but this video gives me hope!
I absolutely love that longer messy hairstyles are coming back! I am SICK of the super clean pompadour, shaved sides and clean side parts! I love the 70s/80s/90s messy hair. Is more natural and sexier imo! Also I have seen rise in popularity the disconected goatees and ESPECIALLY MUSTACHES! Which at first I kinda hated but now I love them! 🤩✨🤭🥵
This is the best video I’ve seen EVER about hair, THANK YOU SO MUCH !

Just pkease be wary of skin cancer.
@thegreaterconundrum
12 күн бұрын
Tanning is your body's defense mechanism to UV trauma - and that only gives you the smallest defense from UVB radiation. The UVA radiation doesn't even care how tan you are, it'll still slice through everyone's skin and rip your DNA in half. The sun doesn't give a fuck. Feel free to tan all you want, but we have a whole generation of 65+ year old boomers right now that look like toasted leather because they oiled up and sat in the sun all day, and pretty much all of them have to get skin cancer sliced off their body every other month. There is not really a way to tan naturally without any risk. Hundreds of thousands of years ago our ancestors would have given anything to get away from the sun. It's so funny to me see people talk now about how it's healing and natural. It's literally a humongous death ball of scorching atomic plasma pummeling our planet with deadly lasers nonstop. You can consume foods high in beta carotene, like carrots or sweet potatoes, and that can tint your skin orange. But science doesn't know a safe way to activate our melanocytes naturally to produce pigment.
This guy is amazingly knowledgable and he communicates really well
Bro bring this dude often and let him speak in the channel , I learned a lot today from him

Very informative and interesting! Thank you.
Hey @OnPointFresh, can you make a video on how to protect the hair from damage done by products? or something along the lines.
i think the reason why people want their hair to look uncut is because most of the time where the hair is cut too much it makes you look different and messed up so looking uncut is less risky
I’m just scared to get a haircut. This video was so accurate!
its crazy how accurate he was, the whole video I was just nodding my had yes to everything he said lmao
Perfect video for perfect time, I have been looking for something like this.
I have long and little curly hairs , i completely agree with him “ sampoo only twice a month and you’ll have your natural hair flow and Naturally shiny “
Just wondering if a wide face not fat works with taper fade or flow, btw luv your videos❤
Tanks appreciate your advice.....
I find mullets to have a distinction between the top and the back. If there's no distinction, if it flows naturally from the top to the back then it's more like a Wolf Cut with side fades. With the 6 hairstyles you showed when talking about mullets, I would really only call the bottom 2 mullets.
i got very fine and very very straight hair and no matter what i do it just sits straight and flat on my head and even if i try to style my hair, the wind just messes it up and makes it look like i just combed it forward and left it. Also its like 20 quid for a hair cut so i can only get it cut once every month and a bit. My hair looks good short so after about 2 weeks it just starts looking like shit.
I have kinda surfer curtains look which obv flows back Its been a month I shampooed my hair and it looks fine tbh So what do you suggest keep following no poo or should I go back to shampooing twice a week
I wish he talked about conditioning also like how often should you condition your hair
This guy understands me
😂😂😂 The patchy beard part is too funny!!
My man knows his stuff
What is your opinion on laser hair removal on the cheeks and on the neck(so your beard is forever defined and therefore not needing to shave those areas)? Is it a viable option?
I need more curly hair tips
Yeah ive always struggled to know what to ask for, ive always had long messy curly/wavy hair and parted slightly on one side. Ive usually done some level of layers and might try to double down on getting more layers in the back especially. as a kid I liked the Anakin episode III look but I prefer a fuller and more freeflowing look for myself. My hair is a pain, always has been. Some days i love it and it cooperates, but im constantly worried about it since slight temperature changes or humidity or wind can just completely throw it off.
Can you please do a video on hairstyles for people with receding hairlines
i guess i was ahead of the times lmao, i remember watching boy meets world with my mom and liking the hair in that show a lot. even still i'd like to have that kind of hairstyle, but currently i can't wear it that long :(
I was looking for hair vids yestersay...
Meanwhile me having dreads because maintaining curls is mad expensive maintenance wise lol plus not having a girl to braid me joints
Wow now if only I can find a barber that’s as passionate as you are 🤣
I want my brothers hair cut. Short hair suits him better than long hair. He said exactly what you've said in the video(looking for a natural look not too styled) What exactly should I ask the hairdresser? He has wavy hair but closer to curly. His facial features are really sharp and long hair makes him look 10 years older than he is.
I stopped using shampoo and conditioner a few months ago. Had been going longer and longer between washes and now i dont need it at all. I just massage my scalp and im fine. Looks good and feels good.

14:39 I agree with these points I don't like how the hair dressers cut my hair in the country I live in. They probably never work with my kind of hair texture because I am a of a different ethnicity so it always looks wierd on me. So I prefer it when my mother cuts it even aged 23
