How To Use Reference Images in Blender (Arijan)

A good alternative to blueprints are model kits construction manuals, you will find the model blueprint usually in the manual, see detailed parts and find some color patterns and symbols too. The very good thing is that you can choose from different brands, like Tamiya, Italeri and so on, just choose the one that fits you better or has more quality for you.

good point!
additional tip: if you cant find a good enough resolution of a blueprint use AI upscaling and scale it to 4k if needed

omg it works, so useful tysm!!
Additional tip: Often blueprints from different sides (top, side etc) are not matching one another and you can use scaling with 3D Cursor to fix it.
Since I brought this up, I figured the best thing one can do is to simply open a few reference pictures of the tank, vehicle, etc. then compare the blueprint for accuracy. Because one of my main concern was the accuracy of the blueprint. We open a blueprint and assume it's reliable, but the quality of those vary greatly.
for aircraft you can look up "3-view"s. i recently modeled a wright flyer by drawing over the 3-view.
boy is eminem-ing and teaching blender, that's what a call tallent

That is one way to do it. You can also compile multiple references into one image and open them in the image editor to view them as references.
