    Hi, I'm new in blender, is this tutorial on patreon beginner friendly or do you need certain amount of prior knowledge of blender for this ?

    Hello, My latest tank modeling course is about 20 hours long on Patreon, so the explanations are very thorough for everything. I think it's good for a beginner, but I make special videos for my Patreon gold members where we discuss things that they might struggle with if they are beginners. Let me know if you need any help.

    dude you are a beast. This kind of modeling is really daunting for me and I’ve been using blender for 4 years. Just checked out your 3 hour stream and am studying it religiously. I really appreciate all the in depth tutorials. I know there’s a small subset of people that will sit through the really long tutorials, but I am one of them! Thanks again brotha

    The little round cap with the pin next the the driver's hatch is one of the fuel caps. The other hatch on that level is the radio operator/bow gunner hatch. You had two different versions as well, one had the early drive sprocket with 15 teeth the other was a late version with about double the teeth. The last wheel is the idler wheel and is actually shaped a little different the the rest of the road wheels. The smaller wheels on the top are the return rollers. Excellent work, love your videos, keep it up!

    The thin pipes on the side of chassis his for clean the gun interior , because you need to keep the gun interior clean , if the gun his not clean it can be decalibrate and explode ;) Now you know what are this pipes . And nice tank and video !

    Finally another tank video. Although I would have personally preferred an hour long content for beginners/intermediates. Please consider. But it's still Awesome content. But can you dive into something else? Like an artillery gun (Howitzer) or a helicopter.

I wanna see how tanks in world of tanks are made. if you could do a video on that or point in the right direction, id appreciate that. And thank you for this tutorial :)

    was just wondering how you got those bars so even across the length of them because when I tried it ends up uneven/ slightly squashed at the front because they don't scale evenly along the bar but at a central point

  • @ArijanRace

    Do you mean the bars at the side of the tank where I used Alt+S? When you use that function, make sure to check 'even offset' in the bottom-left menu

    @@ArijanRace thank you for that if it's alright I have one more question because even when it does extrude evenly across the bar leave a gap at the back rather than becoming a solid shape, how would I fix that because I managed to make it do it properly at least once but I can't recreate that result for some reason so it just ends up being a U shape across the bar rather than being a solid Square Extruding horizontally on one of the we are edges then welding it works but is there a more efficient way to do this as it's a bit time-consuming

  • @ArijanRace

    There are 71 objects in the final scene, but they are all parented to something. Only objects which are not parented are displayed, which is only one object for me.

    @@ArijanRace I don't know what a 'parented object' is, can you explain? Thanks for answering these.

  • @Merczid

    @Merczid

    Жыл бұрын

    @@7errafirma When an object is parented it follows all the transformations done to the parent object (move, scale, rotate etc.). This is very helpful in cases where you have separate objects for different parts of the thing you are modelling. In this case, when you move the hull object ("Cube") all of the other objects are moved along with it. The objects are still in the outliner (Where collections etc. are shown). To do this you press the drop down arrow on the parent object. Lastly; an object can only have one direct parent, but the parent object can also have a parent, which in turn gives you the opportunity to create a hierarchy of parented objects. An example of this could be that the turret is one parent object and the hull another, where the turret also is parented to the hull object.
