How To Use PSD Mockup Templates In Affinity Designer
PSD mockups are template files that you can drag and drop your own designs into and see how they would look in a real-world context. They can be downloaded for free from websites like Graphic Burger: graphicburger.com/generic-mob...
The problem is, they're made for use in Photoshop, but you can also work with some of them in Affinity Designer by enabling a setting.

I gotta say thank you for showing me that settings part in the beginning of the video. That's what I was missing and struggling with!

Thanks, super helpful!
Thanks!
agora sim! deu certo para mim aqui, migrei recentemente e tinha uns arquivos que eram importantes e deu certo com as suas dicas
When I don't have Photoshop available for these Mockups, I tend to use Photopea, which usually works as well as PS.

@@DesignMadeSimple the only thing I have found with Photopea is the quality of the image is not crisp - but still a good alternative
thank you very much. 🎉 Bought some psd mockups and was struggling how to insert in affinity. Do you have any videos how to create smart mockups in affinity?
You saved me!
this also works for affinity photo 😀
I’ve imported some clothing (sports uniform) smart objects that seem distorted and don’t behave normally on Affinity Photo (I assume the programs will handle the files similarly). Is there a good resource on how to “repair” the template or adjust it to be more functional?
Dude, thanks for this - I am fed up with paying Adobe a tonne of money every month - and your video is the only one where you mention the neat tip about checking that box in the settings! Would the same work in Affinity Photo? Would Aff Photo be more suitable, or it really does not make a difference? Many thanks!

Yes, in fact these templates work much better in Photo in my experience. Photo has more warping and transformation abilities. The setting is enabled the same way.

Awesome, thanks @@DesignMadeSimple
Hello and thank you for your great video! For me, the instructions ask me to save the window where I insert my image for the actual mockup but I can't select save for some reason. I have paid attention to the settings. Do you have a tip? Best regards

I don't think you have to save that window. In Photoshop you do, which is probably why it indicates that. In Designer though it updates in real time.
I don't have the import psd as smart objects option on my Affinity Designer 2 for Ipad. Is there any way I can change this? (Thank you for putting so much effort into these tutorials! )

Same question 4 me
What if I make the PSD on Designer. Then it should work fine in Designer and Photoshop both! Right?
