Keywords are SO important!! I had these boots that weren't selling for a few months they were a vintage brand so not much activity on them, so I added witchycore and witch boot to the description and that day I got an offer!! Yay!

If you had a weekly series or a hour long live event every week on whats trending and hot keywords as well as any hints of possible weekly clearance/closeouts at xxx store chain. That would not only be massively valuable to the viewers per minute dedicated to the research. But would also massively grow your channel.

This is not meant to be a "negative comment," but rather feedback so you can improve and keep us watching. There was so much repetition without much solid information or examples. I was watching at 2X speed and then gave up after a while. I'd love to watch a succinct video where you get right to the point and examples. I did glean one thing here that I didn't think of before, and that's to check current retailers for their keywords. So thank you for that tidbit. Also, do you have links to your stores? We also titled this video "How to use keywords..." because our goal for this video was to give an overview of what keywords are, why they're important, how to use them in your listings and sourcing, and some examples. This video was not meant to be a deep dive by any means. Also, we both completely understand if our presenting style isn't for you - or a lot of people for that matter. The great thing about the reselling youtube community is there are so many resources and awesome creators that may better match up with your learning style or preference of watching. Our entire business has been built off of taking small tidbits from everywhere and forming it into what works best for our business. :) We do not have any public stores as we mostly sell on Whatnot and wholesale to other resellers and thrift stores around the country.

Cottagecore & boho seem to not work for me anymore but I don’t sell on Depop nor Whatnot. I don’t sell wholesale either. Are there alternative keywords I’m missing that apply to selling individual items on Posh or EBay? Witchycore, gorpcore, capsule wardrobe & beige aesthetic worked for a bit but are declining. Maybe they will pick up after summer. Thanks for the info in this video ❤❤

You’re so welcome for the content! Thank you for watching :) Those keywords are still VERY strong across all platforms - including eBay! It just depends on the item and also using the keywords in conjunction with other strong keywords. There are dozens upon dozens of different keywords for so many different styles and trends. I’d definitely recommend as I mentioned in the video doing as much research around keywords as you can - they are definitely the foundation for our entire business.

Do you think it's wise to look for cabincore heading into fall?

Hi! It can definitely be something to look out for and utilize in certain styles - a combination between that and “grandpacore” can make for a great combination too! One example is I looove sourcing vintage grandpa sweaters into fall and winter and that’s definitely in the venn diagram of both.

Hi there! You should fit as many of your STRONGEST keywords as possible. Whatever you can’t fit, I’d also throw in the description for good measure!

What order do you put your keywords in your title? Do you have any examples of title structure that works for you? Also, how do you put them in the description? Just as a list or? Thanks for the video! ❤

Hi! It’s very difficult to give an example of a listing with exact keywords without having an item in front of me - I’d highly recommend watching the video we have on “3 trending keywords to use in 2024…” where I have some specific keyword examples and how they could be applied to a listing :)

My only question is...the best keywords go into the title...when you list the other keywords do you use a hashtag or no?

Hi Kimberly!! Great question! The strongest keywords will go into your title (as many as you can for depending on the character limit) and the keywords you couldn’t fit we would definitely recommend putting into your description or tags depending on the platform. Thank you for watching!

Hi! To keep an organized title structure, having the word “unbranded” won’t hurt you. You definitely can start it with one of your keywords instead, either way I would just make sure to use as many strong keywords as you can possibly fit in the title!

Hi! There are SO many great platforms - it really depends on your goals and how you want your business to look. I’d look into the biggest platforms and see which one you want to start with (personally, I’d recommend eBay as a starting platform to master if you’re going traditional reselling, if you’re going live, I’d recommend whatnot!)

So the big idea is keywords help you to sell items. I got 20 minutes in and gave up because it was the same thing over and over. I was hoping to actually hear some of the keywords that are working for you, not hearing to go do my research. Watching videos by resellers is research. This could have been an 8-10 minute video.

For videos breaking down keywords, which we’ll definitely be doing in the future as well, I’d search “keywords to use in your eBay/posh/depop business” that will likely bring up videos based solely on keywords to use. I think they are both just super excited and passionate! My hubby and I are the exact same way, I'm super reserved and talk quietly he on the other hand is loud and speaks strongly because he's just happy, passionate, excited and wants to get the truth out and to help others, but that's just his personality! Thank you so much for your comment :) this video was created as a FOUNDATION for keywords - in the future I’ll certainly be talking about keywords in more depth and giving specifics but if someone doesn’t understand what keywords are, the importance of them and how to actually implement using them in their business, no keyword we can give will actually help someone’s business. In order to run, we must first learn how to walk. To walk, we have to know how to crawl! That’s how I see keywords :) We also gave several examples of keywords with visuals throughout the video… I hope that those were of some value to you!
