The Depop thing is so frustrating! It is great to make sales because they do have lower fees than Poshmark, but the whole idea that someone sends you an offer, you accept it, and then they have to accept your acceptance? How does that make any sense? Resellers and the platform itself are losing out by this bizarre system they use.

I agree! I've lost several sales on depop because once I've accepted an offer the buyer did not follow through with the sale . Aka I loose out on the sale and depop looses out on $ too!

Really appreciate this video. As you were talking about your phone running out of space, I thought I should get some off my phone too. I deleted over 600 photos while listening to your video. Everyone has been slow through April. Hopefully, summer will be better.

Hopefully so!! I’ve had a store for about a year but wasn’t pushing all that hard previously. Of course this month I’ve really been in gear but posting/updating consistently hasn’t been AS helpful as it should because like you said it’s been slow for everyone lately.

Becky, I haven't offered a shipping discount on Poshmark for a couple of weeks at least. I have PosherVa set to offer a shipping discount of $5,95 or no discount. Yes. I've been getting pushback from buyers wanting that additional $2.02 discount. But, I'm keeping it that way.

Consistency is tough for me as well as a part timer.

Depop needs to make people pay immediately. It is super annoying! At least 80% of my accepted offers do not end up paying.

I was wondering if I should be listing on depop. I'm going to spend my time on listing more on Poshmark 😂.

I have that issue on Depop too. The annoying part is I still have to delist the item everywhere else just in case that person pays. Or maybe I don't. I don't know. There are a lot of annoying aspects of Depop but I make decent sales on there so I keep it around.

Oh I don't delete "sold" listings on ebay or depop until they pay - I don't want to redo any work I don't need to!

I went through a phase where I delisted and relisted. I don’t bother anymore. A couple of time I wrote the buyer and they paid. Usually I never hear from them again. Thank you so much for raising this issue! It has driven me crazy, and I thought I was the only one. Love your channel!❤️

Hey Becky, I'm finally reaching out to you after having watched your channel for months now. Wow! Thank you, btw, educating the masses:) I just reached out to the eBay community with a question, after in the video you mention the "lore of difficult customers" . Then I thought why not go to the source? Here's my question: "Hello Community, Today my partner who is unfamiliar with eBay made a deal with a difficult customer who low-balled us on a Jersey we recently listed. A sale transpired. After I had a look at the customer's feedback left for sellers, they are definitely serial negative feedbacker. I'm afraid to send them their item knowing they're most likely going to give us a negative feedback (which will be our first feedback on a sale) claiming the Jersey wasn't as described (when we were careful to describe EVERYTHING). Is it okay to cancel the order and issue a refund? Can they still leave feedback in that event? Does ebay frown upon this? Regardless, I do not trust this customer." Any advice? Julee (and Charles)

Oh noooo I’m sorry to hear that…one thing I have seen many people do on thank you cards or in follow-up messages after shipping out the item is a message thanking the buyer for shopping from them as well as a message stating that if there is an issue with the item, they should reach out to you, the seller first. That way, you can work with them if there is something wrong with the item. That being said, I’m curious to hear how eBay responds to you! Please let me know how things go!

Bro the Depop offers drive me nuts. I had this one Lovers and Friends dress with over 100 likes and i got at least one offer every day for two full weeks and accepted EVERY SINGLE ONE before someone actually paid. WILD.

@@beckyparkco honestly, he’s named after Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal whom I really like. Our son’s name has an accent: Gaél, but it’s pronounced the same way. We thought it was original, but then when I was pregnant, there were 2-3 boys named Gael in our older son’s class at school. But lately people mostly have the same reaction you had: that it’s really unique. 🤷‍♀️

Open Teel is like my Dee Description 😂 which is what I typed today, and the dang thing sold less than 3 minutes after it was posted so maybe I should screw up more often lol!

Depop seller here, good advice that worked for me is when you accept the offer, send the person a message through chat because depop doesn’t alert them if a seller accepts an offer

@@beckyparkco when I first started depop this was my biggest complaint. Ppl send offers but don’t buy. Someone suggested that I send a message and my conversion rate went up. Still not great but I do get more sales!

Depop offers are so useless. They never result in an actual sale! I don't see why it can't be automatic purchase if the offer is accepted (same for eBay)

Depop is the worst selling platform. What is the point of offers if they’re not binding? I wrote their management team about this policy. They explained to me “ buyers are allowed to change their mind!” lol🧐
