How to Use Color Coded Cutting Boards for Food Safety

Color coded cutting boards are an important kitchen tool for preventing cross-contamination of food. By using color-coded cutting boards, you can easily differentiate between boards used for raw meat and boards used for vegetables and other non-meat foods. This prevents bacteria from raw meat from transferring to other foods, and it also helps to prevent food-borne illnesses. Color coded cutting boards also reduce the amount of time it takes to clean up and sanitize the kitchen. By having different colors for different types of food, it is easy to identify which board needs to be cleaned and which board needs to be sanitized. This helps to reduce the possibility of cross-contamination and makes the kitchen a safer and more efficient space.

The color coding is a good idea but It dawned on me that people that are color blind might have a problem. I know some cutting boards have raised littering on it at my work the purple one for non allergenic Foods has raised lettering on you what it's for.
