How to Use a Rug Doctor Carpet Cleaner /Does Rug Doctor really work?

We tried out Rug Doctor on a really dirty carpet . They are pretty inexpensive to rent. But it's about results in the end. You can rent a Rug Doctor from a typical home store. Ours was $40 for 24 hours plus another $13 for the detergent (32oz).
Overall the carpet got much cleaner but not as good as a traditional steam carpet cleaner. Ultimately, you have to weigh costs and effort against final results.

You paid $40.00 for 24hrs. I bought that exact cleaner for $40...I had to clean it tho😂....Works Great, so Simple to use, and with All the water changes you get Great Exercise!! Good Side by Side video, it's No Joke!!

Never used one ---- how do you clean area's right next to base boards ? Is there separate attachment

Good question. It seemed to clean very close when we used it and typically you can’t walk right next to the baseboards, so the carpet tends to be less dirty there. Thx for watching!

No one pre sprays. As a former carpet cleaner.. We ALWAYS pre spray.

Where is the soap&scrub button? I'm using the same version you are using and I don't think it's actually putting out any of the solution

Honestly, it’s be awhile. But from recollection, when you pull the handle back it’s working. You collection bottle should be getting dirty water. Plus the carpet should be damp afterwards so you know it was putting down the water and detergent. Hope that helps. Thx for watching!
