This video has all the reasons why I love this channel: I appreciate the honesty, the fact that the stated and implied goal is to not only show off your own skills but to inspire and teach others. I love watching what comes of your work, but these product and tool review-type videos are just gold, because it's stuff that I don't really find others talking about, definitely not with the same detail and 'learn from my mistakes'. If the person you present as in these videos is anything close to 'Matt in real life', you sir, deserve anything and everything good this world has to offer. Thank you for producing new and interesting content. Thank you for helping and inspiring others, especially beginners. I am actually a potter by trade (well, data analyst by trade and I strive to be a potter); I found your channel some time ago when I was try to work out how to make my own wooden stamps and rollers. You saved me so much time and mistakes. Now I come back just to see what you've been up to; best of luck with your new paetreon. Keep creating. Keep being awesome.

just found this video on your review of the PSI unit! Funny thing is, I was in the process of scrapping together my own abomination using a range hood vent fan. But it was only rated at 400 CFM, and my design was going to be less portable and take way more time, and be more UGLY!!! I did a bit of reading and searching and since the PSI unit is stilll out of stock, I found the Oasis Machinery DC1700 unit, which is basically the same. I didn’t buy thorough Amazon because they wanted $275. There’s another site where you can get it for $205! Anyway, it’s on the way! Great review! Thanks for all the info! I really like your videos too! Love your Tomahawks!

This is entertaining, I just started watching a few of your videos and kept thinking "He could do with a dust box..." I built one with a sheet of plywood, turned into a basic box, one hole cut for my shop vac hose , and a lid with a grid of holes drilled in. I use it upright without a lid and my carving piece inside for doing any carving wood and laid flat with the lid on when sanding with whichever sanding tool I'm using.

That would be great for wood projects. For me, because I work with precious metals as well, it is a challenge to separate the tools I use for wood, gold, silver, copper, & other metals. It can be tricky, when trying to collect only the .999 fine silver in one place, the 90% silver, the .925 silver, so I know the exact purity when melting it all down. I try to do as much of my own refining as possible, but I'm going to need to take a trip to the pros in the near future. Keep on crushing it! 👊🏼🐻

Great overview of the tool’s application. Question - for engraving ID in tools, etc., do you prefer the dedicated engraver like the 290 -1 or 5? I have the 4000 but don’t know if there are bits that accomplish the same affect for my objective. Appreciate your input.

I discovered this very informative video about a month ago and I was very impressed! A table top dust extractor unit was exactly what I was looking for! I’m in Canada and Amazon does have it available for $661.00CND! I found it available for in the USA for $230 at PennState Industries. Since I live close to the US border I had it delivered to a receiving depot there. I am a hobby woodworker for more than 40 years. Now that I am retired and way more concerned about my health I thought that this unit would be perfect for me! So I ordered it!! This is a total game changer for me!! I use it everyday! I couldn’t be any happier!! This is the best and most important tool in my garage workshop. I love it! Shaking out the filter everyday is a bit of a bother yet the amount of wood dust that I shake out is now not all over my workshop or up my nose or in my lungs!! This is the best tool in my arsenal!! Thank you so much for this video!

I don't mean to shoot down the PSI company. But you could probably make something like this with quality performance for still quite a bit cheaper than $200. The build quality probably wouldn't be as nice though. It looks like an awesome tool though and I'm definitely going to make my own for now since I have the stuff I would need already. I'll be sure to check out this company if I realize how wrong I am. lol
