How to Upgrade Memory in HP Laptop without User Removable Battery: DDR4-2400 SODIMM | HP 14-df0013cl

How to upgrade memory on a laptop when the battery is not removable and there doesn’t seem to be a way to remove the back?
This video shows how to upgrade the memory from 4 GB up to 8 GB in an HP 14 inch laptop. The same procedure should work with any HP laptop that has a non-removable battery and where there is no obvious way to open the back to upgrade the memory.
This particular video shows a 2018 HP 14 inch laptop model DF0013CL being upgraded with 8 gigabytes of Crucial DDR4-2400 memory.
Three quick tips before starting: #1 carefully remove the plastic feet and make sure that they do not get stuck to something or dust on them, #2 be careful as you remove the back by very carefully moving around the edge all the way up toward the display, and #3 be very careful when removing the memory so as not to bend the clips on either side.

remember the days when laptops used to just have a little trap door with one screw that revealed the ram and the hdd? those were the days! Also did th rubber strips stay in place after you stuck them back down? I just bought a similar laptop for my elderly mom, I suspect 4gb will be enough for what she does, but 8 would certainly be better.. I just don't want to start peeling tings off and find it doesn't stay stuck in a week or so lol.

For anyone searching for memory upgrade info on this model, it's virtually identical to the one in the review, however, it has two memory slots. I kept the 4GB slot memory and added 8GB to the other slot. IFixit makes a $2 opening tool that's perfect for this task. Isn't that a space for a second clip, and therefore a second stick of RAM? Provided, of course, that one can solder. I'm also thinking about an internal hd or sdd in that empty-ish spot (there are tabs stamped into the cover that will have to go)

HP 15-db0011dx ---Hi - I contacted HP to request the part number for the RAM on my laptop and they told me they don't sell it to me directly. That I need to see an authorized HP technician as the laptop has a non customer replaceable RAM. That certified tech must do it. I have changed ram in other laptops I have owned, but this guy got me thinking. Any suggestions.

I work in a hardware store. Typically, M2.5 x 6 would indicate a metric screw size 2.5 which is 6mm in length. Probably not essential to know, but if you lose a screw those would be the dimensions.
