@@Shahad-ml1bx it could and will fry your laptop mainboard and all that tiny capacitor if not done correctly, and it could fry the ram and its socket if you are not careful because the pin gap is so small, basically brick your laptop. even when the laptop is off, the board still has electricity flowing to all its components.

Note that some laptops hide screws under the rubber feet, so you have to peel them before taking the cover off

@thebreatho no one is buying asus laptops anymore 🤣🤣. Most of them are updating bios firmware with windows updates, so you have to open it if the bios update didn't work well.

what they don't tell you though is if you, is if you buy a laptop from say HP or Dell, and you buy after market RAM that isn't theirs they limit your speed to 2133MHz and their BIOS is so garbage they won't let you change it, and if you overclock the RAM with say MSI afterburner or similar software, and go even slightly above the RAMs specifications, you get stuck in a eternal boot loop and have to buy whole new RAM

i have am HP OMEN desktop and i upgraded the ram with corsair ram. Before the stock ram was running on 3600mhz so i also bought 3600mhz corsair ram. After installing the pc limits to 2133mhz and even when i manually give in all the details from the corsair site on startup my pc just started beeping after a couple of beeps it startup at 2133mhz😢

I can tell you, only those screws can take more than 60 secs to unscrew by pros.

Note-Hp 8470p and other laptop like that doesn't have screws it's lick in mechanism.

Your other RAM could be non upgradable and soldered on to the motherboard.

Basically you have to look for certain ram name and speed, for most computers pc and laptops it will be DDR and then the generation number followed by the speed in megahertz so for example, DDR4-2666, (4 is the ram generation and 2666 is the speed). To find which one you need or which is compatible to upgrade your computer you should find out by either looking in a manual for your specific ram type or (and very carefully) opening your laptop or pc and looking at it your self which should show you the ram type you need
