How To Turn Visa Gift Card into Cash Using Paypal | Transfer GiftCard Money to Bank Account
Hey fellow investors! In this video I show you how to turn those pesky visa gift cards you get as gifts or from surveys into cash into your checking account. The whole process only takes a few minutes and is super simple to follow! This way you don't have to worry about trying to spend the whole balance of the giftcard or worry about losing the gift card in the meantime. This is a super simple tutorial and you can do the same process with paypal (as shown in the video).

If you don't want to create a second account as talked in the video, you can also add the gift as a payment method to your account and then send the balance to a friend and have the friend refund the money. From there you can just send/deposit it into your bank account then. The money can be in your account instantly (with paypal and paying another 1% fee) or within 1 to 2 days. This method is the lowest fees and fastest method to turn the gift card into cash.

what do you do if when you try and send it to your main account and it says the bank restricted the transaction?
This does not work anymore with Vanilla gift cards (prepaid debit card).

To get it to work send an invoice to the PayPal account that has the gift card linked and pay it it will work

Hmm..pretty neat. A credit card usually has an expiration date. If you only do the first part, the first transfer, that should eliminate the expiration date right?
I used to be able to do it by "requesting" an amount from a 2nd email address that wasn't associated with my paypal account. Then paid that request with the prepaid card. Worked for years but then I tried it yesterday and I got an error so not sure if it still works.

Yeah doesn’t work anymore 😞 I’ve seen another video that says you can go to Walmart and purchase a money order for your gift card value minus their fee ($1)

Every time I go to send money to my other PayPal account from the account with the vanilla visa debit gift card it says "we added you new method of payment but can't use it right now. Chose another payment bla blah blah..". So what do I do?

i think it may have change recently cause i used to be able to use the prepaid after a day but not anymore... i guess prepaid card have been hack too much and they don't want to deal with them anymore...sadly.
Can this be done with a USD Virtual electronic prepaid Mastercard reward?

@@secretchipmunk7 One method that worked was to use the gift card to purchase a money order for myself. You'll lose a bit of money in the exchange.

Yo please answer me was it a prepaid visa card or a REAL GIFT CARD look on the back a real gift card says no ATM or cash withdrawal access on the back that's the one I need to get to Work

It works you have to regeister the gift card and wait like 30 mins before you link it.

This isn't as easy as you say. Paypal is not letting me make another account because on my computer it recognizes me. I swear this is much harder than it has to be.

Kevin, when I tried to set up 2nd Paypal account it says a "mobile number is required" but I don't have a mobile phone. Even in this 2021 video update, you don't mention that you have to have a mobile phone to set up the 2nd account. So what do I need to do?

Wouldn't I be able to just charge the card by manualy entering the card details perhaps with Square or Stripe? instead of adding it into a wallet like Paypal or Square or Stripe? Also if I bought the card from someone, wouldnt they be able to have the cards deducted funds withdrawn out of my account & then back into their card as they have the card in their own wallet with their personal zip or postal code?

This works register your card on your cards website first and every thing should fall into place. Look at the replies for a bit of help.

yes you have to wait for like 30 mins then move the money.
You should put "2023" in the tittle so everyone knows its still works!
