Jeff, I’m a weekend rider and have been struggling to install my front 21” tire on my Tubliss wheel. Your simple comment of “you will need to take small bites with the tire spoons” made all the difference for me. I couldn’t get the tire on until I saw this video. Thanks!

never seen anyone else use that technique of just sliding the tire iron over just an inch and repeat, nice! ready to try that next time, and so true, if your struggling might be sloppy technique.

Small bites is the key especially on the gummy rear tires like the Shinko 505 or 525. Their beads are very easy to tear up, and when that happens, the TubLiss will never seal.

I don't have a tire balancer have suggestion on how many ounces that will to work opposite of the rim lock to get it mostly balanced out?

Because the tubliss is in the drop centre there is zero room for the bead to drop in there,so it makes near impossible to fit the 21in tyre, bit by bit is key.

About to do a sand tire, something that with normal tubes I totally dread. We'll see if this is any more or less of a nightmare.

I use soapy water on the entire tire bead when I'm mounting the tire to the rim and it helps, as well as keeping the tire in a warm place before mounting it. The hardest part of the whole process is making sure you don't hook the liner with the spoon when removing an old tire.

I leave my tyres in the sun for a few hours before mounting, makes it sooooo much easier to spoon them on. Especially with stiff sidewall tyres that I use with tubliss

I had this working great then tore a high pressure tube for being lazy. Got a new tube but now I leak at valve stem on the high pressure bladder when I fill the low pressure side (tire).

My dealer recommended Slime in side the wheel and on both inside and outside of the tire bead to help slide it on and add extra sealant value .So far so good ,your thoughts Jeff ?

After installing 4 times i kept getting air leaks through the nipples and valve stems. Replaced rim tape, used plenty of soapy water and armor all. First time in five years using tubliss to have this problem. Any suggestions?

Hello: The tape only protects the bladder. It does NOT seal the air. When the red liner does not seal correctly against the tire bead, the air leaks where you have described. Possible issues: the red liner is damaged, the liner is not centered or the tire has ribs on the inside that create a poor seal. Try putting 150PSI in the bladder to make it seat correctly.

Hello: The bead only needs lubed on tires that have a tight fit and are difficult to seat. Most tires I use don't have that problem.

Pull the valve cores from the high and low pressure valves, loosen the beadlock and instead of soapy water in the tire, Armor All both beads good, push the tire bead down to get it in there. Then air up the high pressure bladder to 110. The tire will seat and all kinds of Armor All comes out. More is better it seems, but don't get it on your brake disc. As Jeff said, use Armor All on the insert. I use Armor All on the insert when putting it in, makes it slip over the rim easier, then I juice it up some more. I just lube the crap out of everything with AA, never had a sealing issue, never used Slime or Stans' either. I have a Rabaconda which is nice, the bead breaker tool and clip thingie to hold the tire iron while you work the other one are sweet. Neutron makes something similar that costs less than the Rabiconda and is very nice also, arguably better actually. Ya they are money, but a good tire changing situation is a lifetime tool, and your riding buddies will hang out and give you free beer to change their tires 😆

helpful step 1: coat the tire inside and out, and tubliss system ( liner and tube) with spray on tire shine (silicon based) helpful step 2: switch to a super gummy tire (shinko/goldentire)..... ssssooooo easy to fit then.. add slime at the end
