How to Treat Painful Foot Calluses

👉In today's video on How to Treat Painful Foot Calluses I show you a person with painful calluses in the tripod pattern. Calluses can come from excess friction and shearing, tight calves and several other factors.
👉I like to do the follow to help minimize callus formation and decrease pain...
✅ Stretch the calves with a slant board.
✅ Make a custom orthotic with a plastazote top cover
✅ Build in depressions in the orthotics to offload the calluses
✅ Add a metatarsal bar under the orthotic to produce a "cliff" for the callused area to fall off.
✅ Trim the calluses down.

I used to get calluses... but I started washing my feet with CeraVe sa cleanser follow up with a salicylic acid lotion.... and then at bedtime I use silicone personal lubricant I like the one move brand I apply it and then put on a pair of socks.... I also spray all my shoes down with Lysol. And I put a pinch of baking soda in all my socks before I put them on.... and once a week I use a soft bristle brush and I scrub the bottom of my feet with baking soda peroxide ...

I tried salicylic acid on my foot callousness one time, and the pain it caused was ridiculous. It just felt like it was melting into my foot. lol. Never again. I have callousness on my feet very similar to the woman in this video. Anyway, eventually, I learned how to shave them down, but they still come back. Also, you have to be extremely careful with the foot shavers because it's quite easy to go in too deep. Then you're bleeding all over the place. Not fun. lol

I have tight calfs as well. So tight in fact i cant massage them cause its painful even under soft pressure. I stretch them frequently though or as much as possible. Always figured it stemmed from having growing pains that were never massaged as a kid.
