Nothing is absolute when it comes to how one should do a tape job it seems. Im having my sportsphysio tuituon in Germany and the pros in the courses there told us that if you're doing a quality job, tendon pads are unnecessary and advised against underwraps in general as they impede adhesion and lead to less durability of the tape job. This here doesnt come as critic to the video, thats a good demonstration. Gave it a like

Use 1 1/2 " inch athletic tape.

I had exactly the same issue. Video is great (as many other videos regarding same subject), but almost no one is mentioning where and how to buy tape, which tape is good, which is bad etc ... Hence I did my own research. Pre-wrap: Mueller M Wrap Athletic tape: Mueller Athletic Sports Coach MTape Price is decent (cheaper then Jonson & Jonson), and a lot of trainers are recommending it. If you go with other tapes / cheaper variants, it usually came with some kind of flaw (not sticky enough, harder to tear etc ...)

In the taping videos I used Medco 150 athletic tape. Any athletic tape will do. Johnson and Johnson, Mueller, Cramer, Medco, etc...there are many brands. Speaking of Mueller athletic tape, if there’s any color tape being used it’s Mueller athletic tape. I buy some in our school colors for special occasions. Hope this helps.

He does in orded for the viewers to watch the different steps of taping in a more clear way. If we would do it only with white, it would be more difficult to understand heel lock and figure 8 technique
