Thank you I went to a podiatrist and he told me I have pes planus and I was born with metatarus adductus and now I really have a hard time because I walk to the side more. He didn't help me but your video did and I thank you. I had left knee replacement and the first thing that I noticed was my feet turned more to the side. Oh my knee is straight but my foot definitely went more to the side. I will be trying these exercises. Thank you again.

Thank you for your exercises, Doctor. Having problem with collapsed arch, hallux valgus leading to body imbalance, I tried your exercises right away, felt an instant flexibility and stress relieve, now understand that I have been depriving my feet of exercises all the way, they definitely need to be treated well. Thanks again!

I'm guessing these exercises don't necessarily give you an arch but rather stop your foot from collapsing inward. I can't imagine my foot will ever arch like some feet but I'd like to be more comfortable during a run or a hike so I'll try the exercises.

I have a small arch but it looks like flatfoot. It looks like fixing flat foot is much harder than fixing, something like APT. A lot of these exercise videos have provided little to no benefit.

Your foot is a bag of bones held in place by ligaments yes, but it is the tendons attached to muscle that gives it it's shape. Look how a ballerina or gymnast's foot looks. The super high arch and spring power. Always do the exercises! Surgery will weaken your muscles from non weight bearing then more things will get damaged. Don't forget, it took them x many years to get strong and tough enough to carry you. Best arch support exercise is opening and closing your big toe

Hi, I've recently been told that my flat feet are the underlying cause of tinnitus, TMJ, maltracking knees, popping hips, neck clicking which I've been trying to fix for 4 years. I've changed my shoes to Asics with a wide toe area and I'm going to get orthotics soon as well. Do you think my tinnitus could go away within 6 months of working with my physiotherapist?

I have always had flat feet, my mom doesn’t but I met a half sister on my dad’s side at 30 for the first time and along with many other traits flat feet were something we have in common. It has to be hereditary.

Yup, my mom has flat feet but has worn corrective orthotics since childhood. She has an arch now and I don't. Her brother doesn't have an arch but my brother does. Explain for 10 points how this is not hereditary. Lol.

We don't typically recommend insoles for flat feet. Only as a last resort. Try a good shoe that will train the muscles in your feet like Brooks. You can start with a model that has a lot of support and slowly transition to one with less support as needed. And of course the exercises may be beneficial. You'd be surprised by how much you can do with exercise and proper foot mechanics!

  • @philippkonig6662

No expert here, but from my experience it's about strengthening with exercises like the ones presented here, but also about alignement/posture. Check if you have lazy glute muscles. Squeeze your glutes while standing and feel if your knees want turn out slightly. Follow that and you'll feel your feet want to rotate such that the inner side lifts, forms a nice arc and weight gets distributed more evenly throughout your sole instead of being concentrated on your big toe. This high stress, combined with narrow shoes that squeeze your toes together are a big cause for bunions. And general misalignement that will generate more and more problems down the line (and up the spine).

Idk why but my feet have always been flat, it doesn’t hurt at all so there should be nothing wrong with my feet I just wanna know why it is flat cause it is definitely not genetics cause both my parent have arched feet, so basically it is impossible for me to get flat feet, so what could be the cause
