How to Trade Using the Elliot Wave Theory?

Have you ever watched a market, either in the form of just watching price action or having a chart and watching how the prices moves, and noticed that a move up is almost always followed by a slight correction? Or a move down is almost always followed by a slight recovery? Or have you seen that prices never ever move in a straight direction forever, in whichever timeframe you look at it? This are the Elliott waves in action. Read More

Elliott Basically says: The financial markets are not a random formless mess reacting to current news and events. There is perfect sychronicity in the way the market operates ordered from a much higher level. The markets are a product of human Nature(Mass psychology) and human nature is a product of the bigger "Nature" that governs the universe. Einstein said: "God does not play dice with the universe" ( the financial markets included). The seeming "chaos" that you see is actually perfect order. Be it in the financial markets,in the world and even in our own personal lives. So when you take the time to study it and know what its really about you will find that elliott wave is not just a technical analysis tool, its literally a way to measure mans progress be it individually or collectively as a society.

When you said 5 elliotitions in a room will give you 5 different wave counts. It's because at least 4 of them are reading incorrectly, then are not seeing the rule violations, so they will label incorrectly.

Most people aren't very good with EW. They ignore the principles of it, sometimes basic, and sometimes more complex. The biggest problem though, as mentioned in this video, is that there are too many possibilities and wave counts, so it's difficult to use in real time, all of the time.

Hey everyone please watch this video all the way to the end. His second wave count is correct. The first one coukdnt have been worse. His first one showed the ABC correction taking out the low of his "wave 1" which would invalidate the whole count. If the low of the correction takes out the wave 1 swing low that ceases to be a correction and becomes a what.....? "A reversal"....... yes that's correct. great job gang

Not too fond of this strategy. Finding simplicity in such a volatile market like forex is key. I stick with Fibonacci levels in up trends and down trends along with moving averages indicators and for side to side trends i use support lines and resistance lines that show 3 matching patterns before entry. Thats it. Scan the markets and keep it simple.

Elliott wave theory is one school of technical analysis that counts waves of price movement to determine the likelihood of future price movement, theorizing that waves unfold in patterns. I think that learning the basics of Elliott wave can help you understand wave movement so it has usefulness.

Everyone will draw their different waves and never at the same area.
