How To Tie The Kid-Friendly Fishing Knot

Спорт

This is the fishing knot I would use most of the time when I was a kid! Did I lose some fish?..... yes, but not at the knot.... I wouldn't replace the frayed line and just kept on fishing with it until it broke.... heck, I was only a kid! See below for helpful links. Hi. Only one suggestion is to feed the loop through the eye of the hook in the opposite direction. Front to back and then loop over the hook. This way when it’s pulled up tight the main line exits to the front of the eye. Having the line exiting at the front helps turn the hook in to the mouth and results in more hook ups. If the line exits to the back of the eye it can turn the hook out and you could miss the hook hold.

Thanks for watching and commenting! I like it! Thanks for the tip. Yes, I think I agree... for circle hooks. Although I used a circle hook in this example, I used to only use J hooks when I was younger. I think my method would be better for J hooks, but it would be good to try both ways and see the difference in hook up ratios. Stay tuned for more!
