@the1andonlymean1 she never said they were...she said the Arm and Hammer laundry booster which IS soda ash...not baking soda. However you can _make soda ash from baking soda_ To make soda ash, also known as sodium carbonate, you can heat baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) in an oven at 200°F for about an hour, or in a frying pan over high heat until no more gas bubbles form. The heat drives off water and carbon dioxide, leaving dry soda ash. The chemical reaction is 2 NaHCO3 → Na2CO3 + CO2 + H2O.

Easier to fold. You don’t have to if you find it easier dry. But also whenever I bleach something that’s dry the bleach kind of floats above the folds. It doesn’t go into the shirt right away if that makes sense

Most of the time yes. All clothes react different though so sometimes you’ll find stuff that doesn’t react to bleach even at 100% cotton.

I know you were asking the creator of the video but I just wanted to say I’ve dyed 50/50 cotton/polyester sweatpants before and they actually turned out way better than I expected, and pretty vibrant. I used the same dyes as the guy in the video
I tried this but for some reason the majority of my colors washed out. I couldn't get all of the bleach out I guess

I'm gonna try it again. The bleach wouldn't lighten the black that much...it still turned out pretty cool but my colors are dark.

How can i dye mine all Black without dye my logo?

It’s a gamble. Most embroidery is done with polyester so it doesn’t dye, sometimes it’s made with cotton and dyes.
Is the soda ash just Washing Soda?

More like washing soda is diluted soda ash.

@@igotdyeonit I did a little research and apparently if you bake baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) you can get soda ash (sodium carbonate).
why do you have to wet the sweats before bleaching?
@igotdyeonit
3 жыл бұрын
Easier to fold. You don’t have to if you find it easier dry. But also whenever I bleach something that’s dry the bleach kind of floats above the folds. It doesn’t go into the shirt right away if that makes sense

To echo what you’re saying, the bleach bleeds into the fabric a lot easier when the fabric is wet.
