I don’t have any pants at the moment, but I have stockings. I could certainly try in the near future. Are you talking rainbows? All you have to do is shift your color over one spot on the back, or 3 colors one side and 3 on the other. The possibilities are endless. 😁❤️🌈

So pretty. I have a question, though. In your list of supplies used, you have Urea. How and When is it used in tie dying? I didn't see you mention that product in your tie dye process. Thanks.

Hi Laura, good question. 🤓 I use urea as my “chem water” to mix dye. Urea is a wetting agent. It does two things. 1: it helps dissolve stubborn dyes during mixing. 2: it keeps the fabric and dye moist during the 24 hour batch time. (if the project dries out the soda ash/dye process stops) Urea is not 100% necessary. It’s a preference. I have a playlist devoted to how I use tools and how I mix things. @@DeborahLArmstrong Yeah, those things would work. I was envisioning folding diamonds, chevrons and stripes using sinew, in a repeating pattern. No clue if it would work, but that’s the fun of tie dye. 🤷‍♀️ I’ll have to ponder on it for a minute. 😁
