So I have questions about this. I did a hoodie and it did not turn out like your at all! Could it be the brand of color I'm using?

I’m planning to use this but one question. Isn’t soda ash basically just baking soda? I mean soda ash is one of the names for sodium carbonate and it’s more commonly known as baking soda if I’m not mistaken

Hi. This is great! How do you get the bleach not to put holes in the shirt? I know a peroxide bath but was your shirt damp and you let it sit? Cause my stars aren’t turning out.

I’m so happy that people like this exist. I didn’t come across this video by looking up how to do reverse tie dye (as I have looked it up many times before) I actually follow the instagram for selling these pieces. I sent a DM just asking a question about bleach, not even expecting a reply. But to get a message back within 5 minutes and with a link to show other how to do it themselves instead of a”link to shop” was very refreshing. Thank you soooooooooo much!!!

Could this be split into 2 parts? Do the bleach part and soak in hydrogen peroxide but let dry? And then come back another day with soda ash and colored dye?
@mikeligammare5773 Жыл бұрын
These look great! However isn't mixing bleach and hydrogen peroxide extremally dangerous, it makes a toxic gas when combined.

Can I ask why the hydrogen peroxide? It's *also* a bleaching agent and might react dangerously (as in chlorine gas yay) with your other bleaching agent depending on what's actually in it? Edit - oh okay it'll redox in either direction depending on whether you're mixing it with an acid or a base, hence the neutralising but still a bit nervous about what the resultant reaction might be doing

Baking soda is not the same as soda ash. You have to heat the baking soda up at 200 degrees f to change the chemical make up for tie dye.
