The fish not taking a to buoyant hook bait........ this might be my critical error! Danny your advice is always the next level of detail, that and you genuinely give the reason behind using each component of the rig. 5star top geezer Thanks

If you don't want to faff with spinners, crimps booms etc. Just tie a claw rig with a stiff coated. Exactly the same thing, maybe more efficient actually. Gla

Be careful using this rig with younger carp with soft mouths or any lake with carp with soft mouths ie silty lakes. Longshanks can cause excessive mouth damage.

A RUNNING lead clip set up with TUBING is particularly dangerous. The tubing with it's low diameter can easily get clogged up and will prevent the mainline from running through the tubing. The lead will become fixed on the mainline therefore impossible for the carp to get rid of the lead. Test every set up before casting out.

No way ! Can you remember the old " carp forum " the orange popup one, and then Dom Walters one, well I'm leaky from off there, I'm the English lad who used to rib Leighton all the time. 🤣 me me and 2 of my mates travelled from north east England to come down to white springs for that winter social you guys set up, you didn't go as you went fishing somewhere else that weekend I think. I still remember those forties you had from that massive reservoir in Wales ( barely any carp in there ) I believe you had an unknown 40 on your first trip there ? Dom used to be called " Welsh 80 ". Haha.

Haha, small world ey ? Soon as I saw your name, and the fact it was in an angling vid comment section, I just thought I bet that's him. 💥 And regarding the fishing, I got depressed, and this collided with me having a fall out with my main fishing buddy, and a burn out from fishing a tough, sparsely stocked deep pit up here in north Yorkshire, I ended up selling up, and sold and gave all my gear away, then descended into heroin and crack, n coke use, which I've had on and off problems with over 20 years, but now I've not had a daily drug habit in over 3 years, and I'm missing my fishing so much, I'm signed off on the sick and can't afford to replace my carp kit, key alone my river, gear, barbel, and general coarse it fly fishing kit ! Honestly mate, straight up worst thing I ever did was selling my gear,
