Winter Day Ticket Carp Fishing Masterclass | Danny Fairbrass

Спорт

With the clocks due to go back and the nights drawing in, most may have thought the fishing is written off at @nortondisneyembryo and other lakes up and down the country.
.
However, Danny Fairbrass proves in this weekends Winter Masterclass that is far from the case!
.
Whether you are planning a trip to Norton Disney, or are looking to catch some carp from your local waters, this is a must watch as we head through Autumn and into the winter months ahead.
.
As with all Masterclasses... no stone will be left un-turned. It looks at exactly how Danny prepares for a trip to a typical UK day ticket venue during the colder months. Starting with general Carp location and specific spots he is looking for, all the way through to his baiting approach; go-to hook baits and colour choice... plus of course the rigs on the business end and the tweaks he often makes through the course of his sessions to ensure he is maximising his chances of nailing them in the bottom lip every time!
.
Make it a Winter to remember with this Carp Fishing Masterclass!

Milk in first lol basically that means the tea bag is brewing in cold milk mixed with hot water ! It’s a southern thing and not how’s it’s done above Watford , there’s a reason milk goes in last , because the Tbag needs to brew in 100f degrees water , when brewed then it’s milk . End off … It’s also why we use T-pots

Oh Danny Danny Danny. Just no. Speaking as a proud Yorkshireman you should never put milk in first!!!! This immediately lowers the overall water temperature resulting in an under extracted brew. Science!

Love Danny doing these videos even the Korda vlog always so professional great methods amazing info great mindset as always great video deffo something in every video that you can put into your own fishing and i learned using the marker getting the more accurate depth as it moves away from the lead so always on your second reading is right and as you do maps his swim out from 20 wraps to 26 so he knows what his swim is saying deffo putting that into my own fishing and not just off the spot I’m fishing very smart man is Danny great technique and methods to his fishing we all want the same mindset absolutely mint can’t wait for the next one

Maybe I am getting old but 4lb test curve rods where is all the enjoyment gone from playing fish. I still use a quality 2.5lb rod had fish to 70lb 40s 50s ect no problem at all. Also I have been carp fishing since 1976 and in my opinion if your having to cast 140 yards to catch a fish your doing something wrong. Not complaining about the video always great to watch but I do wonder about about carp fishing now days tight lines to you all..

Dear Danny and team, great watch and learn as always. One area I would love to see a video on is how you manage rods and lines when fishing them close together. Saw the fish take out the other rods with tight lines. Are their times to use top leads at the rod end of thw line etc? Can't find anything useful online beyond leading and spoding this method of fishing. PS me and my lad would love to help make the video on that lol!

If you, as a homosapien, have a big plate of food cooked by your wife/ mother you’ll dig your fork in at the edge of the plate. Put some bird food on a table outside your patio. Watch what the birds do. Tight lines mucker. 😂😂

The easiest way is find the spot u want to fish cast the marker to it bring the float down to the lead clip it up reel in wrap how far it is u fish cast the marker hit the clip feel the lead down bring the float up then cast a somb to the float as close as u want the clip up job done can’t be any easier then clip rods up the same and got the clip with rods in same position as the marker rod with the same swing back affect your fishing save the confusion how many wraps to the spot with a swing back

I think one thing that is missing from a lot of fishing content is the fight with the fish… It’s all good showing how to deal with weeds, different hook set-ups etc.. but a lot of newer anglers who haven’t caught anything in double digits aren’t going to know how to play and fight larger fish.. I think, in amounts these videos if that was shown you’d have a real all round bit of content for everyone from a newer angler to an experienced one!!

There are no other anglers in all your films, only you. I wonder how much these fish must not have eaten before your arrival, I think that these films are directed and agreed with the owners of the fishery . In UK, there is so much pressure on the fisherys that even the best anglers have a problem catching something, and you get it done without doing anything special😏

I absolutely Love Korda and Danny for everything he’s done for the sport and for being the mastermind behind the brand BUT can you explain how one of the rules of Norton Disney is you cannot crush barbs on a hook yet Danny uses Longshank X hooks which Only come barbed?! I know it’s his lake- I know this but when he does this openly on the latest Xmas Gigantica video also and don’t understand why he’s so open and even shows him crushing it ‘to make barbless’ yet it’s in the rules that barbs cannot be crushed?! I want to go to Norton to fish this same way as I’m a fan of the longshank- & surely that’s one of his goals to help ppl catch carp but I don’t get it. Same as most the carp landed on that Gigantica social you see the leads haven’t dropped yet the rules also state leads must be dropped.

A RUNNING lead clip set up with TUBING is particularly dangerous. The tubing with it's low diameter can easily get clogged up and will prevent the mainline from running through the tubing. The lead will become fixed on the mainline therefore impossible for the carp to get rid of the lead.

Really? I'd like some proof, I've carp fished for 30 years and never heard or come across this and use that set up myself? I honestly don't think that's a justifiable statement, unless somebody new to carp angling may make that mistake if they had the patience to thread the line through it, of course just my opinion though on my experience.

Refer to Matthew Collins " Stop using lead clips like this". Around the 8.50 minute and 12 minute mark.

@@user-bl5jr5vz6i yes I follow Matt's yt chanel and have a lot of respect for him, top angler... But as I said I've never ever suffered the problem or heard of it, my opinion is it's an extreme chance but then so are many rigs if there is no proper thought process or lack of knowledge applied. Tight lines bud 😉🎣
