I use the same knot, just with 6 wraps and works a treat. I use it for mono as well .

Double Grinner just more turns on the braided section .Less fafing about and reliable

Should always leave overhang to stop the knot catching the rod ring

Yes Gavin, the same knot works fine with flouro leaders.
