seen 1000s of videos on the jab this is by far the best. thanks jason.
99% of youtubers how no clue of how to effectively demonstrate techniques nor do they have a grasp of breaking down the important points for speed and power. It's great to see someone who understands not only how to teach but only the video medium. Demonstrating the same technique from every angle is just one of the many things that sets this video apart from the others. Great work.
The best basics instruction video I've seen to date. Precise instruction and great technique! Love the extra strengthening exercise at the end, too. 👍🏻
Dude you don't know how helpful this video was. As a student animator, this turned out to be a great reference for me to give another student very valuable critique.
I've only just started thinking of taking up boxing and found this video the most helpful out of all the others I've watched to understand the basics.
Very helpful as a beginning student in boxing; thank you for taking the time to make this video.
No wonder I hurt my wrist coz I'm doing it all wrong. good thing I stumbled upon this channel
Thanks for the detailed explanation of jab/cross punching.
Really, really nice vid , you can explain it in a very good way. I will look your other videos, too. A video about basic kicks would be awesome. But for now I have already a lot to practise, thanks a lot.
Great video on the basics. Very good instructions. Everything you need to get started. Very well done.
Great video!! I picked up boxing a month or two ago after seeing a guy do it at my local gym. I skipped straight to combinations, but these basics taught here are so much more important. And its great that they're taught in such a clear manner!
I like the way you explain things, real pro. Thumbs up buddy!
good video. kept it simple, and easy to understand. Already knew this, just needed to go over it again.
Very good instruction. Thank you!
There are many jab videos from some of the more popular channels BUT this had the best instructions by far 👍🏾
I love the way you broke it down. This was extremely helpful. Thanks!
loving the analogies. helping alot

Easily the best instructional video I've seen. As a personal trainer, I aim for simplicity to convey proper lifting form to my clients. I appreciate you doing the same here. Excellent work bro, I subscribed to your channel!

I hope this isn't your only video. Hands down the best explanation !

Bro I don’t know if you still be on this channel but I remember watching this years ago, I do want to give you a shout on TUF! 💪🏾
Great video
Thanks a lot!
Nice one.
Does he have a full channel with more videos?
d'amato school was to concentrate power from the heaps and shoulder snap after that . He said many overestimate legs but real power is in the heaps and heaps start hit and shoulder snap after that and tyson trained lot of legs bec was created to fight bigger fighters with lower stance all the time .
The stance nd the face cover chin down is tyson technique , great lesson bro nice very flexible nd smooth fast action yup
thanks bro
Thanks men # Belgium
Also does your behind foot stay on the ground with your heel up when jabbing? Should it move forward like your front leg (left leg)
YES HE WILL ! Jason Soares is a MMA Pro Fighter and UFC coach. He will show you how to jab and cross correctly
nice old school, frm a young buck of today". 👍
Hey when you throw the jab as a righty should you try and not move your head forward when doing it? And should I step with my left foot simultaneously when I'm throwing the jab to generate more power while trying not to move my face forward to avoid a counter hit?
is this gym in america or london? and is this their official channel ?
Really good training Ima start to put my body focus on this fight techniques cause im a street fighter but i wanna learn how to throw hands you know what i mean an well Ima learn from this guy cause I like how he teaches

I doubt your a street fighter, it's illegal and you wouldn't tell anyone so
Excellent vid but lost me at the 10:30 mark when you said keep back heel off ground,so never it on the ground even during the cross?
the knuckles turn is necessary?
My right shoulder has a tinglely sharp pain? Is this supposed to happen?
what if your throwing multiple of punches then wouldn't it be hard to do that jerking footwork for the punches?
Is it normal for my lower right side back to be hurting in the orthodox position? I'm at a loss as to what I'm doing incorrectly.
If the back right foot if lifted then it's really hard to do power left hook as I always lose balance since I end up standing on my toes while doing strong and fast body rotation and punch on top, it's hard to consciously or unconsciously put back the back foot since naturally I tend to lift the back foot :D

That's where the weight distribution comes in. You shift your weight distribution from right to left and vice versa.
Is it normal for your back to hurt while standing in that way? I think I'm doing it wrong but I don't know how.
what's the name of this guy ?
Im right handed and I prefer my right leg to put it to the front and my left on the back isit wrong?

what stance is that? left foot and left hand in front? shouldn't it be left foot front, left hand back?

@Ace2Trill

karbijnhaak Vierdeling jab is lead hand, if ur southpaw (right hand lead), itd be a right hand jab. orthodox, vice versa.
Dont skip leg day bruv
I think your cross is called a straight right hand,just saying.

What da fuck! A ballet dancer ?
Dont make it so tall no body want to waste 16 min ??????
Your stance is good but your hands are too low, in Muay Thai the best way is to put your hands on your eyebrows.
@Soldier-yu2ml

Muay thai isn't the only way to box, like the guy in the video I find success keeping my hands low, that's the way I learned to box.
@forestfey

Marko Osobik Keeping your hands that low is okay but I have been kicked in the face before in Muay Thai matches and sparring so I find it better to keep it higher that way kicks don't do that much affect. But in boxing that stance is okay

+Ontyam Knowing funny.
Bro you are WAY too open. As in way too square to your opponent. Your front shoulder should face your opponent, not your entire chest. You are also leaning forward into your jab, you are leaning onto incoming punches. You don't need to step into your jab. Stepping into the jab is only for closing distance between the opponent. Flick your hip out, in the direction of your opponent. A lot of bad advice in this video, hopefully you've improved your technique since then.
@oogs9114

That’s his mma stance which is always going to be a little wider, but if boxing then yeah that would be well to wide and square on
Mate you need to take some boxing lessons then teach the others...
