Wait but hear me out I CANT throw and in dodge ball one day my whole team was out and to get them back in we had to throw the ball and they had to catch it but there was only 1 guy left so I looked in between them and told my crush who should I pick he said us and I said but he’s the last one? And he said and you cant throw. Knowing I couldn’t I flung the ball and it hit the last guy right in his face and I did that to impress my crush 👁️👄👁️💀🤠 then I forgot how to throw like that.
Gold for newbies and probably some gold for self-taught veterans too!

Yass we can all learn something! ❤️
Great video. Best tip for new players is “stay humble”. I can’t tell you how many times I try to give someone advice only to be met with resistance or someone saying “I’m already doing that…” or “ya but…”

Humility, having an open mind, and willingness to learn is key to growing ❤️
I'm someone who was thinking of getting into dodgeball and I live in Sydney so this is pretty intimidating of a video for me to watch since I'm a completely new player and I've only recently started a regular workout routine. I've gotta say its so relieving and comforting to know that these pros not only reserve judgement but have such solid advice, and even teach the technique that I was looking for specifically which was throwing. I had no idea most of it comes from the legs! This video was super helpful and made me a lot less nervous about signing up for my local.

Hey, just wanna thank you for these tips, it literally helped me lead my team to win the championship earlier during the college cup. I have no experience at all playing dodgeball but this video was super helpful for me in strategizing plays against our opposing teams.
this is real solid and valuable advice 🔥
Some great tips in here for newbies and vets alike! I have gotten lazy with throwing mechanics at times, and it has led to bad accuracy and injuries. Also wanted to shout out the editing in this video: it’s quite good!

As someone who is new to dodgeball, I'd love a video talking about all the lingo. There's been multiple time I watch one of these videos and haven't the faintest idea what you're talking about; especially when it comes to the react videos.

@@TheDodgeballDudes Awesome! I’d say that it’s the main form of dodgeball that’s played in Europe, especially in the UK. Funny how it varies around the world

1. power comes from leg drive not arms. less shoulder injury 2. momentum shift from back leg to front, from hips to shoulders 3. hip and shoulder separation uses kinetic chain 4. hip fully extended and towards target, shoulder and arm can go threw and torso twist 5. fingers on top of ball when release 6. elbow in front of you 1:51 to release a nice straight ball 7. elbow and torso should be 90 degrees, then arm whips in front of body 8. folllow through, wrap arm around body dont whip it back 9. wrist finish position when most in front of you 10. foot, knees, hips, shoulder, arm, wrist. body to up full body. power from ground 11. 2:58 practice for better accuracy 12. 13. 14. 15. 16. 17.
Thanks dude now I can give everyone minor headaches in P.E.

"Don't be like Kent" 🤣😭
Awesome video guys! Not sure if it’s a type of video you’d like to produce but I’d love to see a specific breakdown of throwing technique. A deeper look at the recommended body mechanics that go into generating power. I have a quick release but only average throw power and it’s a goal of mine to increase that. Arm angle, hip movement, foot placement, etc. It would likely involve recording some of your faster throwers and analyzing their form. I know a lot of players in my league (who are are experienced with a slightly different style - 8” balls) would be very interested in such a breakdown. Anyways, awesome content. Keep it up!

Hey Trevor thanks man! It's definitely on the cards, we want to do more specific breakdowns of everything dodgeball related and throwing is at the top of the list!
Man ROTC dodgeball gonna be different next time
Im just watching this to try to be one of the cool kids clutching dodgeball at school like 5v1 lol
Best tip is definitely dont be like Kent. We all have our own throws, own play style etc. You might watch someone really good and wanna be like them but remember you arent them and you need to do things your own way.

Wish me luck im playing dodgeball in school tmrro 😅
I don’t like dodgeball all too much, but I need to get better because I am so bad at gym and I’m going to fail next year and I want good marks this year and I have terrible marks this year so far.
my lats usually feel tight after i play, any tips? i used to play like 3 years ago but stopped due to covid but now after a session my lats feel tight and i feel like im losing some motion
A lot of this applies to baseball too
Hello winner!
I’ve been lifting for years. It didn’t necessarily translate into being a good thrower. I can dodge pretty well but throwing…nah…
This is all fine, but how do you throw a wrench?
Thank you, those kids didn’t stand a chance at the kindergarten center.

im really good at dodgeball but there is someone that i cant defeat and he is very toxic so im preparing my revenge
alr now that i know this imma start head shotobg everyone
Soooooo no tips on how to hold a dodgeball?
Am i the only one who already knew a lot of this as common sense but just wanted to know the proper hold and release for curve balls and fast balls? I feel like i’m watching pitching tips in baseball without any tips for curve balls; knuckle balls, or fast balls.
James 3:10 King James Version 10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.cursing is sin
not a racist question, is dodgeball popular among asians in australia?
@TheDodgeballDudes

From our experience in Sydney yes it is, but there are also many other non-asian players too!
I broke my spine for throwing too fast lol explanation for dummies I was throwing too fast for my age and with every throw I did my spine got shocked eventually broken. Just play handball. You won’t eliminate the opposite team you will eliminate them from life.
