My coach took me aside earlier to tell me he´s happy with my improvement. Im sure a big part of that comes from watching you and Eddie break stuff down. Thanks coach, and thank Eddie from me!

Tommy hearns style. A trick that personally helps me make sure to variate this from the overhand is that the chopping right can be thrown greatly from a high guard think roy jones when he would put his arms kinda high but extended out some as to not be so close to his face and he also squares up a bit when doing this so each hand can instantly "drop" from any position with no telegraph and it strikes downward. Fun to practice this in sequence with flick jabs so your flicking from low, to up high, then from high down to low, or the opposite

But from what I know the chopping right hand (Gerald McClellan, Hearns, Kronk Gym) is a different punch... a mix between right cross and over right hand, using the palm of the hands, not the knuckles. The guy in the video is using the knuckles. And it's a punch that works well with tall fighters usin all the extension of the arms.

Coach, big fan of your work. Didn’t know this one is called chopping right hand, been using it in sparring against people who try to swarm since I’m on the taller side, stiff that jab in their face then chop it right in. You definitely gave me more stuff to improve in my next training. Will you do more videos on bareknuckle defense and offense? Thanks and have a good day.

@@CoachAnthonyBoxing You’ve done one but it was called boxing for streets. I found it interesting, could be applied to bareknuckle. I hit the bag one round only with wraps almost every session for improving my punching accuracy and for adapting better in case I want to spar with smaller gloves.

Tommy Hearns and Alexis Arguello were masters of this. Hitman would frame or leave his lead hand extended to deflect traffic or block his opponents' vision to set it up, while El Flaco Explosivo would drop slightly. 🥊🥊

Hey coach, great video. I do have a question that I'd love to see in a video- What are some habits or tactics that you see professionals do, that most amateurs lack? Some things that come to mind for me would be feinting and body shots, but I'd love to hear if you agree and your opinion or anything else you wanna add. I'm sure the number of rounds affects things a lot too between pro vs amateur, but I think it'd be very helpful to us amateurs to know what adjustments we can make to get to that next level
