I am above these levels but man... I sure could have used video's like these during my climb. The fact you don't blast through and actually give "us" time to think along with you is just awesome man. We all know these games could have been over in about 5 secs lol. That's what separates your ELO climb videos from the rest.

I think it is too complicated at times. I guarantee you in game 4 no one would know what to do if bg4 at 18:07. at this elo they would blunder the queen. After u attack the pawn at d5
@antonyduhamel1166

When the queen moves to G3, wouldn't the better play have been F2? You're sacrificing your queen, but you're guaranteeing that the bishop won't escape. FYI, I haven't played chess in 20 years and I have no rating, I'm just wondering if the remnants of my chess instincts are correct or not.

The way you show your (potential) moves, your opponent’s (potential) moves, and the consequences of both is awesome. . You actually teach people how to THINK while playing chess. . Glad I stumbled upon your channel - will definitely be subscribing and following as I learn the game.

For those in starting out, and within and frankly above this ELO (rating), this is one of your better ratings climb. Appreciate the slow talking, allowing you time to think as well, discussing why pieces are chosen. Thanks!

@@cithvalentine1790 ELO is in short your rating. It shows how strong of your player is. It can range from 100, the absolute beginner, to 3000 where Super Grandmaster play. If you play for a while and just do a little study, you can reach 500-800 in Rapid games (10 minutes per player). With some more studying and less blundering you can reach the beloved 1000 ELO (rating) which separates you from the beginner pool. From there goals are typically 1200, 1500, 1700 which is in a very high percentile of players, to the great 2000. Depending on if you are a visual type of person or someone who can read and study while moving pieces on the board, I would recommend first KZread videos on the basics. Castling Linked Rooks Forks Skewers Pins Pawn Structures Developing Order and Controlling The Center Don’t waste any of your time in the beginning on crazy openings. That is for later in your path upwards to fool around with.

It’s amazing how helpful I’m finding these, even against relatively lower level opponents. Deciding what moves I would make and then seeing what Nelson plays, so many ideas pop up I never would’ve considered. It’s a thousand small challenges to the way I think, per episode. Fantastic stuff!
Wow! i'm glad i found this channel. You explain everything very well :) I'm currently stuck around 500-600 elo. Hoping to reach 1000 soon!
25:30 fork Missed, Free Queen!
Keep these videos coming! Your detailed explanation about your thought process is really helpful for us beginners. This has to be the best channel for low elo players like me. ❤
25:30 me screaming Ng5! Great videos BTW, really helpful advice. Thank you for the hard work.
I’m loving this oratory. Super helpful AB’s insightful .. thank you!
Me and my dad we've been watching this series together and we both enjoy it keep up the good work and the perfect explanations
It would be fun to watch you play one specific opening over and over to help learn

Thank you for the videos!
Just started playing a month ago and this video has helped me more than any other. Thank you! I really like the way you explain things. Talking slower and showing each option is great for a beginner like me.
TY. This is the most instructive video I have seen in months. Your voice and tone are VERY COMFORTABLE to listen to. Your knowledge and move by move commentary are a GREAT teaching tool! Thank you.
Im a beginner in chess and I was looking for guiding videos to help me look at the whole board. This video was incredibly helpfull!! Thank you
Great videos and very informative. I really like how you explain your thinking and your planning ahead.
I'm around those levels, just started over month ago with chess in general, and your vids are really helpful and enjoyable. Thanks

It's on channel chess adventure
As a brand new chess player I have been looking for a slower paced explanation of games being played. This will help me tremendously in putting the fundamentals I have learned into action much more effectively. This is the best teaching I have found so far. ❤❤❤❤❤
I appreciate your approach, demeanor, and explanation; it's nice and easy to understand with no distractions. Thank you very much for sharing.
This video is just fantastic, learned so much by seeing your thought process
New to your videos and I have to admit I’ve had a big smile on my face for most of this video. It’s super inspiring and helpful watching you calmly find solutions I still can’t see on my own!
This is so helpful, thank you Explain the thinking and what your move is trying to achieve, hard to teach myself this when looking at engine moves
Nelson I have really enjoyed this series. I'm around 800 and even learned things from the start, thanks
Finally found someone who's ability to explain is truly effective. Thanks Nelson!
I don't think you should accept rematches bc your opponent thinks they got stomped by someone their level but you know you're a grandmaster and getting stomped like that can crush their spirits

Thank you Mr Lopez, for sharing your mental processing. It is enjoyable to watch and it teaches a lot.
Very nice explanations, thank you. Keep it up this way I'm waiting for more video like this.
Nelson really does a great job talking through his thought process.

I really enjoy this type of chess video. Playing people closer to my rating and explaining all the moves. Love it!
9:42 bishop F2, rook G1, bishop G1, king G1, E4: Not just up-trade bishop with rook, but also recapture the pawn.
I am really appreciating the detail in your videos. I'm a beginner (my rating is 412!) and I keep making blunders and mistakes, even when I think I've thought things through thoroughly. A lot of the other creators I've been watching go too quickly through the moves for me to really grasp the concepts/principles. You don't do that, even though it's clear you could win very quickly, you still go through all the steps and possible move sequences. Thank you ❤️
Your videos are the best! Thank you for explaining your moves.
Great to see many different openings in one video!
With the commentary I am learning the strategies of a player ranked higher the me. This is so killer! Keep up the good work.
Great video! Thanks, perfect for beginners learning
Thank you Nelsi. Now I finally know how to think.❤
Excellent explanation as always
Hey, good job on your video. I like your way to explaining things its not too slow and too fast and alot of think process here. I just learned chess and im around 450-550 this helps alot, cheers🎉
Loveee loveee your content 👍🏻😉
First time I see your videos I’m hooked you are a great teacher ..easy to follow your trai of though Thank you truly!
i just found this master earlier today... amaaaazing content! thanks!!
25:30 you had a fork on g5 with your knight winning the queen! 😂
What an awesome video mate love it.
Nice job on explaining everything. I love how you're not making fun of your opponents like others do!
Yours is one of thr best chess channels out there. It is very instructional to watch you reason out and select the best move. Will help my chess journey for sure. Also like your honesty. If you don't know a particular piece of theory, you just say so. Way to go man!
WOW Thanks man Am getting the thinking partten now
Love your chanel and the way you explain why you do or don't do moves. Just the right pace to follow too.
i watch a lot of chess youtubers and streamers, but you are certainly well crafted at teaching and mentoring. again thank you for your content!
I've devoured alot of chess content over the years and in addition to being a very good educator you also show why sacrificing officers aren't always as painful as it may seem. Personally for me sacrificing like a Bishop for a Knight.. is something I weigh heavily and I also don't think about later recaptured, of all the other big chess streamers.. I've never seen them go over stuff like that and it matters! Cause if you become more conscious about the pros and cons about sacrificing you become more aware of the gamestate. Brilliant stuff!
loving these videos ❤️ learning a lot 🔥
Thanks for the content bro
I cant wait for the next video, I've quickly boosted myself by 200 points from 300s to 500s but for the past month I've just been straight up stuck at 580s-610s range and i have no idea how to progress from that

Thank you so much for this rating climb. I am learning so much. Better than Chernev's "Logical Chess" because you are dealing with ideas we lower rated players really need, both stratigicallty and tacticallty that we just don't see in the grandmaster games that Chernev covers. Thanks again!
This was an enjoyable video. Thanks sincerely
Very good logic and sound chess thinking. Excellent focus and style
You explain things so simply and it's easy to keep up with what you're saying compared to some other channels
That was so helpful
Life's amazing So, Glad I find this
v Thanks chess vibes for easy to understand logic behind chess moves and why.👏👏👏..
Enjoyed Ur games and commentary- good stuff
Great video. Another Great Video. LOVE YA🎉
very entertaining, thank you
im really grateful i found this video 2 weeks ago and then downloaded it. I was struggling at 500 elo and thanks to you now im at 700ish🥳 thank you so much sir!
Around 46:35, the opponent could have checked you with the knight, opening a discovery on your queen from their bishop...

Impressive, you pointed out a mistake in a video in which he played 10 games. Even Magnus would've had a mistake in 10 games.
This is awsome, I just climbed to 500 and I found a lot of new tricks. I think am gonna try all your openning and repeat the video till it sticks.
This is one of the best chess video for an amateur like me, i only play chess for fun but really frustates me when I do silly things, this slow talking and the low elo really helps
this guy is very good. brilliant teacher as well.
Luckily I have found this channel.. yr so good at this .. best I would say . Gonna watch all yr videos and be a GM😊
Hey I'm a super low rating but I love your channel ❤ I like the way you explain things! Thanks for your content!!! This is the third video in a row I have watched of yours and its much more digestible than 99% of the other chess channels I've watched...actually 100% I can't think of another chess channel that I have watched just for the chess 3 in a row except the cute chess girls haha 🙈 😅 thanks for the help! I am progressing really slowly but having fun is more important anyway :) thanks again
Love this series
man it looks so easy. i keep on getting slapped but i will try to use your analysis scheme, calm and focused and i think i will improve fast. thanks for the content !
Unless I am very confused, you did a video where you analyzed a game you played when you were much younger. Having trouble finding it in my viewing history, but really enjoyed that one and wouldn't mind seeing more like that.
I like how you play interesting but not necessarily the best moves some times and say that you wouldnt play like that on top level but for lower levels you recommend it. This way I can actually understand the moves and dont need to plan ahead tactics for the next ten moves which is nice for a beginner. Thank you!
25:52 knight forks king and queen
You're far better at explaining the game and its principals simply enough for beginners to grasp. I tried the Gotham guy and he's just a show-off with his blatant display of chess knowledge and ends up confusing more than explaining. Subscribed.
I have just started to play.......all videos of others are going over my head except yours😂...good job for giving time to think
Enjoyable.... Thank You
Best chest content I've seen on KZread, not kidding🎉
@25:25 there was a nice knight fork checking the king and winning the queen there
From this video I started to considered the move that i never think of before and i got 93.3 accuracy with 2 great move at 700 elo. Thanks mate.
I love how instructive the video is, really good job. You going through the moves very smoothly. With that being said, id be going mad if i had to play someone like you at 500 elo 🤣🤣
@hearmeout1767

My mom is 400-500 elo and she once got paired with a 1200 and it made her so mad lol
I just had a lightbulb watching this. Ive always struggled with developing my pawns because i dont like "wasting" my turn pushing them, but if i attack pieces with them i probably wont lose tempo because they have to retreat
I like this the best out of the ten or so Chess Vibes videos I've watched. Not just Wap Bam Boogaloo but giving me time to catch up with you! At 27:57 I would have gone Ne4?
24:41 "I'm planning ahead for that" 24:44 "Ok I actually didn't see that""
At 25:15 after the bishop move you had a royal fork with your knight, a much better move than rook to E1
such a great video
actually missed a nice fork in 27:57 , but great videos! your tactics is easy to understand
Thanks for improving my game!
Question: In Game 4, after black d5, why no e5 instead of the knight. My centre pawns are protected and on 2 of the centre 4 squares... Is control of the centre not what you should aim for in the opening game?
I love this series
25:12 , you missed a juicy Ng5 fork of the King and the Queen.
I learned many things from this video ❤❤❤
This video is helpful .thanks y
25:14 knight g5 was a fork
My absolute favorite thing is your position at :34. Move the Knight H4, then if they don't block check with the Queen. 99% of the time they block with pawn. Take that pawn with the Knight, and you have a beautiful double attack on the Rook. If the pawn takes the knight, Queen takes the Rook, if the y don't, discovered check when the Knight takes the Rook. You can cave in the entire side of their line.
Love to see ❤❤❤
24:00 I am always suspect of putting oneself in a position where you have to castle by hand, but this looks okay for black. He has more pawns in the center, he's down one piece, but there is a queen in the middle of the board to attack, which may waylay white for some time. 25:20 Why not Ng5? 27:00 Owen's Defense
25:23 Knight to G5 check, would win Black's Queen although the match is already well in hand.
