I made a custom neutral strap cover for my friends hellcat red eye I used quarter inch think steel with bolts and after I installed it for him I took a dremel and rounded the bolts off so it can’t come off without a custom screwdriver I made for him as well

Seeing these videos all over, I removed the neutral lever and cable. Installed a ignition kill switch and relocated the obd plug and put in a dummy obd plug in the stock location. There is only so much you can do, park it in a garage if you have one.

The club is very hard to cut, but not the steering wheel, It's a waste of money. Use any screw you want , the cover is plastic takes few seconds to break. Gps is great , but if a thief really wants your car not to be found he would use a transmitter jammer. Use Ravelco, sure can't start the car but thief would just winch it. All great tools to slow a thief down a little, but if they want your car they will get it.

The crazy thing to me is that dodge never took the very simple step to the situation pretty much a none issue.... all they had to do was install from factory a lock mated to the key in the FOB on the panel over the neutral release lever. Prevent theives from being able to quickly put the car in neutral and push it away, and you prevent the majority of the issues.

Nicely done video. On the fuse and relay thing......all the thief needs to do, is take another fuse and/or relay, from another location in the fuse box, and swap it into the slot for the starter fuse and relay, and they are gone with your car...... Might be better to interrupt the feed wire to the fuse or relay, within the harness going to the fuse box, and install a switch (much like the well-know starter kill switch. Or.....you could deliberately sabotage a spare starter fuse and relay, to swap out, for the ones that work. That way, everything "looks" normal, to the thief.

  • @Shintodragon

Thanks for the comment 🙏. Good call! I think the feed wire interruption is one of the best ways however it requires a bit more than what the average person is willing to explore doing on a tight budget. Dummy starter relay or fuse is also a good idea.

They are also plugging into the usb ports and somehow using apple carplay to make new keyfobs. From what I understand, this can be done even if the ECM is locked by the dealer. So repeater boxes are now old tech. Use usb port locks or simply disable/disconnect usb ports. Along with obd2 port locks.

Same here, had my RT for 8 years, bought new, and never even knew about this stupid switch til a few months ago. It’s useless AsF and only beneficial to the thieves. My car was towed 3 times and never once did the driver needed to pull this strap. Even when these cars are impounded a tow truck driver doesn’t need to pull that stupid shit up. Only reason I know about it is from the theft videos. I wish we can just eliminate the stupid thing without causing any problems.

The starter relay wont stop anyone who knows anything, there are other relays and fuses right in the fuse box. Its a nice deterrent, but really only foolproof way is to have good insurance. Most vehicles require that your foot be placed upon the brake pedal to start them. There is a switch under the dash above the brake pedal that must be activated by stepping on the brake pedal. Bypass that switch and use a hidden toggle switch instead wired to the brake pedal switch. Then the toggle switch must be activated to start it. Cheap and simple solution. Just make sure you use a good higher quality Made in the USA toggle switch. Because if your cheap made in China toggle switch fails you got a problem. PS: Good decent alarm systems have motion sensors that can help to prevent them from being towed away.. Hidden GPS tracking device is the last line of defense.

Thanks for the comment. The neutral pull switch is needed in the event the car won't start, becomes inoperable it can be pushed out of the road or loaded on a tow truck or towed etc. The challenge is that the convenience of it also makes the vehicles more prone to theft.
