Hello check with you my ceiling fan 1st and 2nd speeds doesn't work only 3rd speed working, when I removed the cover notices one of the capacitor body melted and opened , may I know this is the root cause that's caused the issue, hope to hear from you soon thanks

Hola. No entendí por qué conectaste uno de los cables de prueba al enchufe con el símbolo [V/Ohm] para tratar de medir las capacidades. Porque la forma correcta es conectar inmediatamente los dos cables de prueba a los dos enchufes en el medio. (Si mira de cerca, verá que el símbolo [Cx] está encima de estos dos enchufe, lo que indica que estos enchufes deben usarse para medir los capacitores). Gracias por el video.

The "Cx" on the multimeter is for capacitors ... And you shouldn't touch both probes with your fingers. It can interfere with the measurement.

So the only way to check the MFD value of a capacitor, you need to have an expensive digital multimeter?

If the fan blades don't rotate, the problem can be the capacitor, the motor or the wire, the common its a bad capacitor
