    A 100 ohm resistor isn’t right for testing a button cell (coin) battery. 100 ohm is ok for testing AA/AAA/C/D batteries but not small lithium cells. You need to use a >4.5k ohm resistor for that. You are close though. One other piece of advice I would offer is to put the coin battery upside down on your table, then use one meter probe from above and one from the side to test it, it’s a lot easier to test the battery without it trying to fly off the table.
