Can you explain the reason for the higher voltage reading when there is a load? I understand that a bad battery might go to 0V when a load is placed across it but what is an an acceptable voltage range for a good battery when a load is across it?

That's one of the "Free Energy" principles. There are plenty of videos and documents in the Internet explaining how it works. Hurry up before they get censored!

I'm using a new battery for this test. At full capacity, a fresh battery will usually be at 1.65V. Once it reaches 1.0V, the battery is most likely dead.

@@ElectroUniversityBut you initially get a reading of 1.595V without a load but it rises to 1.611V when under load. Why does the load cause the voltage to rise?
