What was the purpose of this video?

I wish it had a 9v battery instead of the 2 AAAs. The 9v lasts longer

I haven't had it long enough to know how fast it will drain the battery's but if seems to drain to fast I'll probably just use rechargeable batteries in it. Good point though, I didn't even think of that but I have been using it and I do like it. Happy Holidays.

Does anyone play guitar that owns one of these? I bought this model to test guitar components but not experienced with multimeters and unsure if this will test everything I need it for.

From what I know, the cheap Harbor Freight ones he's referring to should work just fine. You only need something more expensive for amp work from what I understand. Guitars don't use as much volts/watts/amps/ohms... I'm not sure which one of those is most apt here, I'm not an expert obviously. But the convenience of the stand and audible continuity are worth the little extra money spent.

It will 100% work for guitar applications. As mentioned, you'd need/want something bigger & badder if you're doing work on tube amps.

Thanks for showing battery installation. It's in the small print of the small owner's manual, but not that easy to find and no diagram.

Your welcome. It actually took me a few to find it, and those directions they give now days you have to have a magnifying glass to read them.
