Lol. . .I did 'spin' before 'stand' and am now struggling with 'stand' as my cats default starting point is 'sit' we're working on it. They are currently very focused on the 'treat' aspect of clicker training and I'm trying to slowly get them to verbal cues.

Hello, I'd be VERY surprised, BUT it wouldn't matter, even if a cat broke Didga's record of 24 tricks in less than a minute, that's not what makes a cat the most talented in the world, it's all the other things Didga can do that allows me to make this claim, definetely no other cat has her unique ability/talent, she is one of a kind. please though send me any video you find. All the best

@@CATMANTOO kzread.info/dash/bejne/lIJ8j9NxfanVYKg.html ("How many tricks can this cat do? - Guinness World Records") This particular video where a cat performs 26 tricks was recommended to me last year and I thought of Didga, it's also by the Guiness World Records channel! Looking at the tricks it seems more of a matter of how well you can put the tricks in a cohesive chain to save time in between them and for how long they need to be executed to ensure you get as many as possible in a single minute, nevertheless it seems you have competition ;D And of course Didga is beyond special in any way regardless of titles and records and deserves to be called the most talented cat nevertheless ♥ I was simply curious whether you had heard of it and what your opinion on it was!

@@soulcatcher_pajome Thanks for sendiing, impressive yes, but I only counted 22 (still great) and that's being generous because there were a few that were gimmicked and IMO shouldn't be counted. First off, those weren't true waves, animals are primarily responding to the visual cues, she gave the same visual for shake and wave but put different words to them, this doesn't mean the cat knows two separate tricks, she just pulled her hand away on the wave before the cat touched her, watch Didga's wave and you'll see what I mean. also touching the ball and bell are the same behavior, there were a few others that were borderline tricks, like the turn 180 degree's? that would only be a trick if the cat was briefly facing away from her then on a command turned to face her. If I did what she did to get the tricks counted (which my professional ethics don't allow) Didga would have 27-28+ tricks. but I digress. Good on her and her world record. (just adding) again, it doesn't matter in regards to the most talented in the world, Didga, by far, still holds that title

You must have gotten into the catnip yourself or you just want to be on KZread. All I want from my cat is to be a cat and love him for being just what he is. If I wanted a dog I would have one.

Shush. Didn't your mom teach you, " you ain't got nothing nice to say don't say anything at all."? This is actually good to keep your cat engaged and you spend time with them. If the cat really didn't want to do it then it wouldn't. All cat owners know this.

In my opinion it’s better to keep your cats safe inside not wandering the streets getting hit by cars killed by dogs tortured by humans so if they’re inside they should be stimulated, one way is to teach them things, like you teach a child. Can build a rapport, build a cats confidence, gives them something to do something to look forward to a challenge a bird doesn’t just fly into their mouth they have to do something in order to get something. This increases the amount you spend time with your cat, they get lots more attention teaching them things. doesn’t take anything away but it adds to the overall happiness of the cat

@@CATMANTOO True, but it just seems weird. Not your fault. Cats are just so regal, (the little blighters). I would bend over backwards for my aristoCATS! Sometimes I would open three or four tins for my little MADAM (her name btw) before she decided which flavour! You carry on, don't mind me - I'm not the most tactful person I know, but I do have a kind heart!

@@nalasimba Didga is very unique, very energetic and has a high food drive. these videos aren't for every cat, plus they take a long time to film/edit, but people think I work the cat all in one day. She sleeps and eats (for free) WAY more than being trained, actually there's only a small window to teach a cat, usually only when they're hungry enough to listen. a few minutes before breakfaast and a few minutes before dinner, when she was younger and ate more, I could do a few more one to two minute sessions per day. No biggy, when a person never see's my videos, knows the back story or doesn't know I've been an animal behaviorist/trainer for 40+ years, they form the same opinion.. All good
