How to Teach Kids to Hunt (Everything I did wrong over the years)
It can be extremely daunting to try and teach your kids how to hunt. There's the safety component, proper shooting technique, getting them outfitted with the right gear, and that doesn't even include getting them within shooting range of an animal and hoping they make a clean, ethical shot. Over the years, I've made a ton of mistakes when it came to getting my son into hunting, and in this video I break down what those were. We'll also talk about what finally started to change and what I did right to finally get my son his first Arizona elk.

Great content. My oldest son is finally old enough to hunt this next season. He has a crossbow and a rifle ready. He helped track and recover 2 deer this year and was shocked by the truth of it, but after taking time amd processing what he seen and what it meant he is even more excited for next year
Great video! Lot's of great points for taking out ANY new hunter, not just a kid. I love your last point about taking moments to speak into our boys' lives and setting up opportunities for them to achieve a new rung on the ladder towards manhood. My oldest is going to be old enough this year to put in for big game and we are excited about that. But he is still absolutely stoked about harvesting his first rabbit this past July. If I could add one thing to your advice, it would be to not overlook small game opportunities for new hunters, especially kids. It is a great way to get them introduced into all aspects of hunting, with a lot less pressure. Keep making your great videos! I love watching you hunt Arizona, and I enjoy your humble and family-friendly presentation!
