Best Backcountry Rifle | New Rifle Build (Part 2)
Here is the continuation of my rifle build and review of the Savage 110 Ultralite rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. Since the last video, I mounted the Vortex Razor HD LHT scope and got the hunting rifle perfectly adjusted to me, tested it and got it zeroed at the shooting range, then took it on a backcountry hunt for Spring bears in Idaho. The ultralight weight, shorter carbon barrel, and unbelievable shootability has made this my new favorite rifle.

I love seeing giant benchrest scopes on cityboy rifles. Here in Idaho, I have a lightweight 2-7x Leupold scope on a Tikka T3x Hunter which is my mountain rifle. When I run into Boise or Coeurd guys, I can always tell by the rifle they lug around, usually some chassis 12 lb monster.
Just got the 7mm PRC Savage Ultralite - Tip - If you are going to bore sight Do Not put on the high cheek rest on the Acuustock, use the lower one after sighting in change to higher cheek piece. 👍🇨🇦

Bro, I have the same gun! It's simply the best value for your money. ELD X 143 GR do 0.33 MOA. But there is also bad news. The magazine latch has a weak spring and I lost the magazine on a long transition. I had to shoot loading a cartridge into the chamber one at a time. But successfully hunted.

Great work man !! I love that new build ! . My savage 110 in 6.5 cm is NOT ultra light and is NOT 7lbs .. I'm a little envious!
I have the same gun just a different color mine is a creedmoor too. It consistently shoots 1/2 moa groups and that was with 3 different kinds of bullets. I work for a animal reserve and I out shot one of the game wardens with his 6k snowy mountain gun. Last week I shot a cow elk at 680 yards double lung she didn’t go 30 yards. I love it!! I have the leupold vx6hd on mine but I wish I would’ve went with the mark 5hd because I’ve maxed my turret out before

I have the same scope on a 110 ultralight in 6.5 prc...this gun is amazingly accurate but the razor lht seems to be a little more blurry than either of my vortex vipers. I'm curious if you've noticed this between your viper and lht? If not I'll be sending it in to vortex because they have amazing customer service
Great video! Looking at similar build. Going on a my first bear hunt this fall. Are you confident with 6.5 for bear?
Did you get an elk yet with the creedmore?
I have one in 308. Mine has a Leupold vx5 3x15 on it. Took a pronghorn the other day.

All in, I was right at $3,000...those were early '22 prices, which have probably gone up since then :(
