Excellent advice guys. With phone cameras becoming more capable, the difference between them and Dslr/Mirrorless professional cameras, is narrowing and it is often hard to tell the difference between the images they produce. Understanding the "exposure triangle" will result in the shooter being able to produce the result they want, rather than the result the phones own software gives them.

Al Reid it depends. The bokeh achieved with a DSLR cannot be achieved with a phone yet.

Ii agree 100%, the important word being "yet", but with newer phones using either more than one lens or the clever software employed by Google in their new Pixel 2 and 2 xl, they are catching up. But I don't think that the effect produced by those methods will ever completely match the effect of good glass.

*Useful tips of the day* : Don't use your phone's camera facing the Sun, specially if it's expensive. It really damages your phone's lens. You, me or any other regular citizens are not rich enough to buy expensive phones under same year.
