1. Is Huawei Mate 10 waterproof or water resistant?
Huawei Mate 10 is officially announced not waterproof while the Mate 10 Pro and the Porsche Design variants are water and dust resistant with an IP67 rating. My video is to let you know wether Huawei Mate 10 is actually waterproof.
2. What did I do in the tests?
I put Huawei Mate 10 in the water for 5 mins, and heat up the phone to 100 ℃ for 5 mins. I found that the Huawei Mate 10 can stand high weather temperature. Although the CPU temperature will go up to 57℃ after heating up, it will cool down quickly.
The battery cover of Huawei Mate 10 can not cool down quickly, so the device will not face heating issue after long term using.
In water test part, I found Huawei Mate 10 is water resistant. Huawei Mate 10 is officially announced basic splashproof level. However, my huawei mate 10 stayed in water for 5 minutes and got no water damage.
Notice: don’t try heating up your Huawei Mate 10 and don’t put your Huawei mate 10 in water.

This video made me feel more confident and relieved.
Had my Honor V10 (not Mate 10) dropped in water twice, it damaged the internals, sadly. But it's still working somehow, after changing the charge controller. Looks like the temperature sensor or something has been damaged inside and it is rebooting on its own sometimes. But I really love it and I searched for some time for a phone like that, nothing has matched my choice except Mate 10 model. It is almost similar to my V10. Yep, I'm ordering an 2017 phone in 2023 because it's too great. LED-indicator, Infrared sensor, the fingerprint scanner is on front side and no God damn notches on the screen and 2K resolution... This phone is just perfect for me.

Ok, so the regular mate 10 variant must have the same IP rating with the pro version yet manufacturers decided to make it appear that it doesn't. This makes the pro version seemingly 'way ahead' compared to the regular one so that many people will still buy it. Like, come on, the regular version has a lot to offer and is way cheaper. Just my opinion.
