Would not recommend: - retyping all notes (instead annotate lecture slides) - don’t study just for tests ( understand concepts not just memorise) Anatomy - diagrams - dissection videos - make master tables of muscles nerves tissues and blood vessels Physiology - make study guides for every lecture (with review questions, make the guide only 1 page (front and back) ) Clinical medicine - practice physical skills lots. - normal values- make a chart of them for each species. -watch videos.

Definitely try to volunteer if possible! If your school has a course that deals with anatomy, physiology, or some type of a medical environment (science classes for example) I would say go for it! A lot comes out of these classes but as long as you study hard, you’ll do great!

This brings back a lot of memories even though it’s been about 35 years. My number one suggestion is to look at other students cadavers . Especially in small animal anatomy first semester of freshman year some of the dissections were pure hash . The lab teachers were generally fair and would try to find unambiguous examples of different structures but you still had to be able to find points of reference on somebody else’s dissection. Second semester was large animal anatomy and that professor was hysterically funny.. on the first equine written test there was a question asking what structures you would encounter on opening a horse’s abdomen on the midlline and where they would be located. Shen Dr P gave the tests back he said “I think I assumed too much when I worded that question, because a significant number of you answered the question from the perspective of being under the horse. If you remember nothing else , remember that you never want to do a midline incision on a standing animal. This isn’t jiffy lube folks!”
Hello im vet university student , i want way to love my study more and improve may scales 🥺🔮

Thanks so much for watching! I volunteered and worked at a veterinary clinic in high school so I had a pretty good idea of what the profession would be like! That's why for most veterinary schools, they require you to have some volunteer experience on your application so that you know what the program and what the profession will be like before you get accepted!

Study in 30 minute blocks with 5 minute breaks. Try to tweek this plan to your courses. Change the study block time and the break time according to your courses. Best students are able to study in longer blocks with shorter breaks. Try to be yourself. If you are a life long A student keep on that track. Likewise for B and C students. Create a Hologram of yourself as if you are meeting yourself for the first time. Try to be like your Hologram. Be you at your best like you are going to a job interview or a first date. Good luck. - TAV ♥️🇺🇸🌎👍

Volunteer at welfare organisations. Shadow vets for school assignments that require you to explore the world of work. Don't look for paid jobs because you'll just be rejected and you won't get any experience from getting rejected. Start by volunteering and work your way up to getting paid.
I'm also a visual learner. and I'm actually a bit confused about what books or pictures to use for anatomy. and also where to get them. so, would you please help with the source of the diagrams you use for that? (I'm studying vet, so...)

Wooo! Welcome to the club 🐾
I don't know if I will take veterinary course cuz I'm not really good at science huhu.. not at all
Vet school has always been a dream of mine but in college I majored in Biology and STRUGGLED. I ended up with a 3.3 Overall GPA (science GPA was even lower). I’m scared that if I get accepted to vet school I will fail my classes no matter how hard I study. Any advice? 😔

If you get accepted try not to stress about that. Once you're in vet school they genuinely want you to succeed. Personally, some of the courses I took in vet school I got better marks than I did in undergrad. At OVC if you don't get a 60% on some tests you have to resit the exam but I'm not sure if it's like that at other vet schools or not! Once you get into vet school, try to figure out which study method works best for you, because it might be very different than undergrad and you may actually find one that works better! Good luck 😊
Where do you get those fillable diagrams?!

I took screenshots of the Textbook of Veterinary Anatomy and then I would print them out and label them!
