No buddy it’s not false either. It comes down to several factors what type of grass is in the yard. The yard you mowed had beautiful grass. It also comes down to the length that the grass is cut and also it comes down to how good of a mower you have. You’re not gonna go down to Lowe’s home-improvement and buy a riding lawnmower and get stripes like that. I had my own landscaping business and I know how to get stripes

@@americandream_89 it comes down to the damn mower how good of a grass your mowing and that’s a bottom line I don’t give a damn what you say. If you’re mowing crabgrass you’re not gonna get great stripes. It comes down to links that the grass is a higher. The grass is the better bend and strip you’ll get there’s a lot of factors you can’t bullshit me. then if you cut every week a different direction you’ll get better patterns, but there are some commercial mowers that lay stripes better than others. And if you don’t believe that, then you don’t know shit.

Use more drive on your downhill arm when going across hills to keep it from drifting downward and you'll get rid of those bends at the base of the hill and across the face. The best way is to not look at the deck at all, it's to look straight ahead and drive straight at something in the distance. You should always know where the edge of your deck is without having to look at it.

Pro lawn care foreman here, the key is high lift blades. Your deck can be packed full as hell, doesn't matter for the stripe. You should definitely clean your deck, but stripes come from laying the grass down. High lift blades pull the grass up as far as possible and then your deck will push the grass over as you run over it, swear to god I just need to start a lawn care channel.
@americandream_89

Hi lift help for sure. A full deck will make you have to triple cut though wouldn’t recommend that one.
@shanedavis4254
10 ай бұрын
@@americandream_89 I clean my decks out each time I change my blades (roughly every 3-4 weeks) and never have triple cuts. if you're seeing triple cuts you need to sharpen your blades. It comes from the blade pushing the grass over more than it's cutting it, which only happens to my mulch blades but I will definitely start checking the deck more often now that you mention that, thank you for the good advice my friend.
@shanedavis4254

Also I'd like to add, no one should be cutting grass that's so wet you have to worry about it staying in your deck. Let the yard dry, but I understand for people who are in a tight schedule. I usually have just a 3/4" worth sticking at all times, never have I had more than that. I also pop small wheelies to help rid of grass at the end of each lawn if it need be

Nice lines. No mohawks or beaver tails. Starting your lines going 12 o'clock to 6 then going back over your lines for a second cut at 10 o'clock to 4 o'clock left a great looking checker pattern.

Great job but i don't have the time and patience to do this on my lawn.

The stripes come from the lay over the deck creates. Each pass is a different direction. The sun shining on the grass when blades of grass are flipped different directions makes the color different.

From a business perspective, it would depend on the design they wanted. But for just checkered pattern like this no.
Just think how that would look as a native pasture 😍

@@americandream_89 I clean my decks out each time I change my blades (roughly every 3-4 weeks) and never have triple cuts. if you're seeing triple cuts you need to sharpen your blades. Also I'd like to add, no one should be cutting grass that's so wet you have to worry about it staying in your deck. Let the yard dry, but I understand for people who are in a tight schedule.
