How To Store Your LEGO (And Have More Space)

Ойын-сауық

I have recently been redoing my LEGO storage in a massive clean up, in order to help gain some space back. Here are the systems and products I use to help keep things sorted and easily managable, without spending a small fortune.

A lot of my sets are unfortunately stored broken down in grip-seal bags at the moment, but I hope that one day I'll have much more space to be able to display them.

Do you have anything on top of your Alex drawers? I liked the idea of having a table top but not sure if I'll need to stack one set of drawers on top of another or put other storage containers on top.

Great useful video Every Lego creator should make video like this The problem with minifigure display cases is that they're too expensive The akro mills drawers are also expensive

And the USA is getting ripped off with IKEA I found out too, Australia charge the equivilent of $60 LESS. And we have tax included in our price too... I swear storing the LEGO is as much as the sets these days

"You can't have everything on display, it's super messy" This is a very girly thing to say. The Mrs. told me the exact same thing. I took it as a challenge 😝 (but only in my man-cave. I dare not incur in her wrath by having a set set foot outside of it 😅)

I like the divided storage boxes, I might get some of those for my minifigures. I'll have to continue to keep my figs individually bagged though, couldn't have them all rattling around together like that. I worry about scratching the prints.

My strategy for displaying my Lego sets is putting them all on the multiple random shelves I have and trying to find a place for the white sets, where they aren’t exposed to sunlight from the window that takes up a whole wall.

I've been using a clear tackle box organizer to store my disney cmf minifigures (since I don't have a display for them yet). It works great since each figure can have its own section. I would hate for them to get scratched.

My minifig to set ratio is crazy. I started collecting minifigs and only buying a set here and there if I really want it. I don’t have a lot of space in my room so I have a few big baseplates solely for displaying minifigs. All my sets are either on display on shelves or in millions of pieces in a big storage bin in my closet 😂 plus a small container for spare pieces from sets

G'day from Far North Queensland! Just Sub'd to your channel and will be catching up on some more Aussie content. I too have bought the large 8 compartment boxes from Bunnings. They are Montgomery brand and you can get them in a 3 pack for $25 ($8.33 each!). I have 33 of them so far and they're filling fast. Mostly minifigs but I also have all of my animals in them, leaving all of the drawers in my proper Lego room just for parts & pieces but no minifigs or animals. I'm enjoying your content, keep up the good work!

my sets are just sitting on my dining room table at the moment, much to the annoyance of the mother lol. i really need a shelf or two. my minifigures are stored in some 'really useful' storage boxes until i can find a way to display them, i do have a set of marvel figures in a display frame. spare parts also in 'really useful' storage boxes, and any set boxes i've kept are flat-packed.

Acro mills r a life saver and they come with different size drawers Edit: I use the build a fig containers from the Lego store to store figs. Well, at least as many as I can cause I only have like 25 of those containers

Well explained! I have (extremely) limited display space, so everything not on shelf is parted out in labeled zip bags. Those are stored in boxes (mostly cardboard, but in some cases those neat Copenhagen Room storage bricks) categorised by theme. I don't have much lose parts, but those are also stored in zip bags, sorted by parts shape. Not ideal, I'd love to get a divided case at some point.
