Hey guys! This is just a pretty short and easy video on how to stop screen tearing and what it is. There are other things like Triple Buffering but that only works with some games, so this is by far the most simple way to do it when you're on a budget and can't get a fancy monitor.

    I turned on "Radeon enhanced sync" but still saw screen tearing but then I turned "input lag" and "Radeon chill" they both helped I noticed that "Radeon chill" gave me consistent frames looked like it was locked on my refresh time(hz) but "input lag" also helped but wasnt locked on 60 all the time it still helped with screen tearing so maybe try these out. Try turning on "Radeon enhanced sync" with either "input lag" or "Radeon chill" make sure the chill is set to your monitors hz. i matched my minimum and maximum so the same numbers on both(the number was my refresh time from my monitor)

    What do you put the radeon chill on? the V sync options in this video helped with the tearing directly on my laptop, but not on my TV, which is a 120 hz 4k UHD TV. The screen tearing is completely ruining the experience for me. I use the HDMI cable straight from the laptop to the TV and duplicate display.

    @@FrankTheDoomriderJohansen I applied the Radeon chill so it would match my monitors refresh rate(hz) because if it’s higher than the refresh rate(hz) screen tearing will appear. So I basically locked my FPS.

    If the adaptive option doesn't work for you try to run the game in a windowed, borderless mode. If this switching to this option ingame doesn't work as well try to set this through the geforce experience program, click on the game then on the wrench icon and then set it to windowed borderless mode. I searched everywhere when I had screen tearing in rdr2 and nowhere else and this helped me. Hope it will work for you!

    what about fast paced FPS shooters like Valorant / CS:GO Turning on Vsync introduces a significant amount of input lag, which you cant play with in such fast paced reaction based games.

  • @Saintwolvinn

    @Saintwolvinn

    3 жыл бұрын

    I'm aware. However, the video says: it's how to stop screen tearing. You can perfectly play those games without the input lag mattering very much. It only matters if you are going competitive. Which in said case, you need to upgrade your equipment with a G-Sync or Free-sync compatible monitor.

  • @ixadoodler8865

    @ixadoodler8865

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@Saintwolvinn yeah, no Gsync and freesync both introduce input lag when compared to no sync, that's why I turned it off. (I have a gsync monitor, contrary to your assumption) Although once you go above 240 fps the screen tear is almost not noticeable. On Valorant you get almost no screentear above 300 fps though. Again, this only applies to reaction based PvP games. For them I'd take minor blemishes over input lag any day.

    What happens with online games is that they have much more strict measures regarding hacking currency. Reason being they basically get to charge good real world money for it. This could put your account in a position for a possible permanent ban. I recommend that if you try and do it, do it with a fake one first. It's sometimes possible to do first player games with online features, but purely online games I haven't tried it because I'd rather avoid the trouble. Sometimes you can find downloadable hacks online, so if you're really determined on doing so, I'd look for those. Have a good one ;)

    @@savaavavaa2126 Hacked APKs (the file format used for apps on Android) are extremely easy to find, but of no use on PC. Maybe look for a torrent of the game? I'd definitely check on Reddit to see if anyone in the forums has any recommendable hacks. Honestly I've found solutions for everything there regarding anything I might need. From what I'm seeing I assume this game is more popular on phones than on PC. Worst case scenario, if you have an Android just go with the mobile version. It's a lot less of a hassle. I'd love to be of a little more help but I avoid hacking online games on PC to avoid problems with my account so honestly this isn't my forte.

    I was going to try and start using PC instead of consoles... Bought an expensive new laptop with 300hz screen... and I get screen tearing like crazy in games. like wtf!? I also have it plugged to a second monitor which is my TV, which is a 120 hz 4k UHD TV. The laptop is an Asus rog Strix G713 (RTX 3070, 32 GB RAM, Ryzen 7). The tearing happens on both the laptop screen and the tv as the Tv is displaying what the laptop is (duplicate). I have no idea how to fix this... and just as I thought I might jump from Console gaming to PC gaming... I get this slapped in my face... always problems with PC gaming smh! After using the info you gave in this video, the screen tearing seems to have stopped on the laptop but not on my TV. Man all this just makes me want to throw this new laptop in the garbage bin and buy a Ps5.

    The in-depth explanation is basically the frames your GPU is creating is out of sync with the ones that are being displayed on your monitor. Usually, it happens to people who have higher frames than the ones their monitor can process. Unless you have a Freesync or Gsync monitor, Vsync is probably going to be your best bet to at the very least lower the tearing.

    If what's on the video doesn't work, you can lower graphic intensity in games to take load off the GPU. This happens when the monitor and GPU aren't in sync. VSync helps most if you have very stable frame rates that are above your monitor's refresh rate. Now, the best way again is to get a G-Sync monitor. If it really bothers you that much and the V-Sync options as well as lowering quality isn't working, that's going to be your best bet.
