I just re-started my channel with better skills than before and my max views is 26 views and for some reason I am so excited over that small number. Even if it’s just one or two because I know someone saw my video and clicked whether it be my family/friends or outside viewers. I’m proud of myself.

@@venandr I interpreted Peter's true Brit comment as meaning born and raised in the UK regardless of ethnic background. I'm a true New Yorker versus all the transplants we have living here in NYC as an example. As for the accent, yeah I thinking he was being condescending on purpose lol. Not all British accents sounds good. They have their own versions of "red neck" and "ghetto" sounding accents. I think he's referring to her sounding "proper." At the end of the day he ain't wrong about what is drawing views and subscribers in.

Big congrats on the 400k btw, literally double what you had when you made this video. 🎉 When it comes to controlling my emotions I always just think “Expectations are the thief of joy” So with that, in general I just make sure I know that while I love my video, I know I worked hard on it, I know it will give value, some might see it or not at all but don’t worry, you never know what could happen. Great guide Izzy!! As a small content creator on KZread, I know how hard it is to gain traction and attention from the beginning. Like many of you guys, I was tired of creating quality content almost every day and getting only a few hundred views on my best days. After that, I tried to use some tools to boost my social presence (using mostly Famester because it's really popular these days, and work for every platform). Now I don't have to worry about constant changes in algorithm, and honestly I don't regret it. It made everything a lot easier.

Thankyou Izzy for making this video, where you have narrated your journey starting and maintaining a youtube channel. While sharing your very real experiences you also manage to inform, educate and encourage others to start a youtube channel of their own. I have been watching other videos on starting a youtube channel and have been coming away feeling overwhelmed with information (most of it flew over my head, and the little I did understand, I don't remember). Frankly I found most of those videos quite boring! I am not saying those videos are not good, but it is definitely not targeted to an absolute beginner. Some of the videos seem like a whole lot of points / facts just put together from other videos or websites on a similar topic. Your advise on the other hand is so simple, clear and crisp. As it comes from your own experience it feels more relatable for people like me who have upto now found the idea of starting a channel so daunting!. You have made it appear doable by anyone willing to give it a go. Also, you have such an easy and likeable narrative style that listening to you is a pleasure. I hope you will be able to do another video with your organised style and step by step approach showing us how to actually go about the channel setup process as well.

I started two channels and I'm not really advertising anything yet. Just trying to find a rhythm and getting comfortable. But I'm also doing this with a strategy: I have a personal-vlog channel where I want to be able to create freely and a second channel that is very niche (social media for filmmakers). I fully believe in just starting and letting things take its own shape, like you say. :)
