How To Spray Foam A Bus! Complete Walkthrough Start to Finish--Skoolie Ep. 34
Say the words spray foam to bus lifers and you'll get many different reactions. For us, there was no better option than spray foam. Sure there are chemicals involved and it can be "harmful," but the R-Value that it provides will help us to stay warm in all of the snowy places and cool in the hot places without having to have massive amounts of heat or AC. We are so excited to be at this step and can't believe how well it actually went!
We hope that this video provides a very thorough and informational walkthrough for anyone looking to do spray foam in a bus or anywhere else!

your livin da american dream !!!
I'm sure you figured it out any temperature over 65 70 is more than adequate for spraying the humidity is what you want to watch for it looks great now the fun part is the shaving and clean up but it's worth it. Oh the temperature gauge on the tanks are a joke you just need to acclimate the tanks to the inside the bus for a few hours you did great though and now your a pro sprayfoaming is like driving for the first time but once you do it you realize how simple it becomes. Well done you two. Oh and the packing tape was Brilliant.
You two are amazing
Y'all made that look really easy. Love the packing tape tip! I'm quite a while away from being ready to insulate, but I will definitely save this video for reference. Looks great!! 👏
Love the bus man!!

Thank you!!
Great jobs guys. Can't wait to see your interior and technical ideas for the build. You definitely are a first I haven't seen anyone build a shuttle bus, which I think is the smartest build because weight/space will not be a factor and the power you will need to pull of that will be there.

Thank you Dwight! Excited to show you more of what’s ahead!
Man Appreciate you on that spray foam.! I have seen so many schoolie builds using spray foam and have never seen so clean spray foaming even when a professional does it. Great work.

Thank you very much!🙏🏼🙏🏼 I was certainly surprised with how well it came out for first time using spray foam haha
watching bc im looking onto spray foam.
The contents of the tanks are under pressure. When releasing the pressure, it causes a temperature drop in the tanks. That's why the temp reader changed. Visa versa, when compressing a gas, it creates heat. Great job though!! I just finished removing my floor so I can fix and treat all the substructure.

Ahh Interesting! Although I suppose that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation!
Did you only have to buy one kit for the whole bus? Starting mine this week! Beautiful work
So, did the bus seem more rigid after the spray foam dried? I figured after a few days you might be able to tell the difference.

It actually expands and hardens in minutes and cures in an hour but it definitely added rigidity to the bus! Especially the ceiling
😁👍🏻 I have a question ...... I noticed you had sheet insulation on the walls in some areas, but not below, why, and what size, and you sprayed foam over it as well. Please elaborate about that. I’m removing windows, so I know I will be putting in foam board, and spray foam over that ?

Looking back, we could have just done spray foam in those areas, but when we blocked off the windows earlier in the build we weren’t sure exactly what we were doing there yet. So we ended up doing the 1” foam board with spray foam on top. The foam board added some structure behind the fiberglass, but spray foam by itself would as well

@@MilesOSmiles in reality you did it the right way if you happened to break the glass outside now you should be able to remove the window and replace it because if you sprayfoam the glass you'll never get it out, never!
hi bro, u did a good job. very nice. how many tank did u use it. one pairs or two pairs tank enough for ur bus.

Thanks! It was just one of the FrothPak 650 kits. The kits come with 2 tanks because they are separate chemicals that mix in the hoses

@@MilesOSmiles i would like to say thank you so much for ur answer. but one more question, what do u think if i need to spray all 4 sides, ceiling, floor, n 2 sides wall for 40 feet school bus for the tall of 8 feet. how many kits for Frithpak should i order it.
Awesome video! Convinced me that we can do spray foam as well. Love it when the Red Solo cups come out!! Enjoy!!
Was that your first time spray foaming? It looked like you did really good. Should see the hack jobs all over youtube using those kits LOL

Thanks! That was our first time. I watched a lot of videos and learned from a lot of people's mistakes haha
Reagan is hot give her more screen time.
I just wasted 15min of my life before you actually got to spray foaming ☹

Well thanks for watching the whole thing haha but we wanted to make it thorough and informative for people who may not know as much about the process. There’s a lot more that goes into spray foaming than just spraying it, so we felt proper explanation about the whole process would be beneficial for some people.
