It’s consumerism... you’ll pay $1,000+ for a cotton sweater vs $20 for a cotton sweater that is 99% similar. It’s all to fulfill our dark forever emptiness of egocentric satisfaction. Clothes, shoes, jewelry, cars... most of us do it including myself. It’s the instinctive modern way of humans to show off dominance. It makes you feel good to step outside with a Walmart quality t-shirt with a brand stitched into it for 300x the price because it makes you feel better than everyone else and you know people read it and go “wow he must be rich!”... consumerism is just natural to us now and companies capitalize off of it.

@@Idk910 One of the main problems is that people look for value without instead of looking for value within. They need something to tell them that " I AM WORTHY " now there's is nothing wrong if you want to wear a thousand dollar sweater However " I AM WORTHY " if a wear a five dollars sweater from second hand store or a thousand dollars from a luxury designer boutique ,because it all comes from the inside. By the way, i will not spend a thousand dollars on one sweater , i prefer to use my money wisely towards Investments ,now if someone gives me one as a gift , i will gladly accept and wear.

@@Idk910 yea, and if it's actually exactly similar and not obviously fake then why not wear a fake one. Wearing a balenciaga or any designer clothes can actually boost someone's confidence.

If you gotta look at the sweater under a microscope to tell the difference that says a lot lol

why would anyone pay you to authentic stuff when you can find tons of guides online not to mention facebook groups of that specific designer that has people willing to authenticate for free?

I own a replica Green balenciaga sweater just like this one and every thing about it looks authentic even the label only things is the Stitching of the label was wrong but remind you all these designer brands clothes are mostly made in China 🇨🇳 and China is the place where most people buy the knock offs from. Now since I realized that everything was authentic all the materials even the label but the stitching 🧵 was the dead give away so all I did was remove the label and used a technique to make it look like it was sewed in Italy 🇮🇹 and now no one could tell of my sweater was actually $50 and not $1200

I bought something similar to this jumper for 150 AUD and my friend bought it for 1060 AUD there is no diference at all, just the sticker is a bit diferent, the material the look, the quality all the same.
