It's not accurate they are essentially the same product made by different manufacturers because there's no appreciable difference. Counterfeit products exit where the originals are overpriced. Gucci and Rolex are overpriced.

Actually, I know a lawyer who works in intellectual property, and he’s dealt with a lot of these cases. A lot of the times the fakes and reals are made in the same factory. The workers will steal scraps from the real products and create extras and sell them as “fake”. Probably not in this circumstance, but a lot of the times.

fruit loops The fake one uses real leather to remember leather is not crazy expensive you can buy a normal leather belt from Walmart or Debenhams for $20

also the stitching on the real one is much finer, more stitches per inch. Not a great tell unless you have them side by side though

I would wear a fake one just for the fun of it. This belt is being worn by everyone. It’s getting tired. Not spending that much money on something probably every other pretentious person has

The quality of welding detail at the back of the buckles seen at 4:00 are probably the most telltale sign between the real and fake in this specific case.

I appreciate style. The cost to make both items probably come out about the same. Don't get caught up.

Don't forget, the inside point on the real GG's on any Gucci item both have a slight angle whereas the inside point on fakes will be pretty square.

I’d buy the fake, I don’t think anyone would overanalyze a belt.

In other words the appearance will change if you polish it and it will look "glossy" Between the wife & I we have 4-5 of these GG Marmonts. All purchased in store. You don't even need to have seen the original. In the original everything will be perfect: no faulty stitches, no faded letters or prints, no typos, perfectly aligned letters. The logo will be always printed, stitched etc exactly as it appears in the brand logo (unlike in the strap in the belt shown here).

If there’s 21 numbers in the serial code, then it’s real. All fakes that I’ve encountered have 19, 23 or 22 serial numbers. Gucci has also sent a statement that ALL of their serial codes have 21 numbers. That’s an easy way to spot a fake.

Honestly you can’t tell the difference unless you have them side by side and you know what to look for.

I got a fake one from plaza and then I got a real one from almost $2000 buck and they look the same only different if you actually take a look and the letters and all the stuff
