How did you learn Vegas?
I've been doing video production since middle school, and in Highschool I started using Movie Studios to edit with. I went to College for Video Production Tech and weren’t happy with the “industry standard” editors I used there. I’ve used VEGAS ever since.

Love this, easily explains most of what I need Vegas for. Quick question, say I have three portrait videos on screen playing and I want to push a fourth one in so in the final product you see the left video get pushed out and the fourth video pushed in from the right and the other two videos just move over with everything else.. how would I go about doing that? Hope this makes sense 😊

Guy, the correct to do this ...first turn on the grill lines in the video monitors. Step 2. Create the window and then duplicate 3 version. Then drop the new videos on the line replacing the others by deleting each one. Much faster.

What I am struggling with is taking two gaming videos 1 from my perspective and the other from the perspective of my friend of the same event and place them in the same clip together where we see both perspectives at the same time in the same clip. The issue I am having is getting it where I don't have the black dead space after I resize both clips to fit into the same clip. If I get both clips where we can see each clip fullscreen on the same clip I have massive black space either above and below both clips or I can have it either at just the bottom and top depending on where I place the clips on the screen. I can't seem to do it without zooming in way to much making the videos useless.

@@TechDiveAVCLUB Thanks for the reply. It might work with masking. maybe I will try that but it still cuts out to much of each clip to understand what's going on. I am wondering if there is a way to size the clips where you still see both of the clips full screen but also having them fill the video full screen. Everything like event/pan and cookie-cutter zoom in too much cutting out important parts of the video to be able to fit them in the same area in full screen. what I am trying to do might not be possible which is also fine.

Actually, there is only one way to do it, and you should have made a better video rather than make us suffer through this one, after you discovered your mistake. The correct way to split the screen is only with picture-in-picture, then you can crop/pan the sections individually.
