we do have word like dancer thats danser for a male and danseres female but that only works on like job and stuff not with where you come from really

prankster1590 in dutch we say 'Ik ben een Amerikaan'. To leave 'een' out is not correct. Otherwise it has to be 'Ik ben Amerikaans'.

its something like an american is an amerikaan but when we speak about an american like he's an american we can say hij is een amerikaanse if we really want to make sure the biggest thing we talk about in the sentence is THE AMERICAN

If you're studying Dutch: I think this is one of the few scentences you don't need to remember, since most Dutch people will recognize your accent :D. Great video though.

I hated french because of the different letters it had at the end of a word because a word is male, female, plural or whatever. I am so glad dutch hasn't got that, and she made it hard for foreigners now xD believe me guys, it really doesn't matter if you say amerikaan of amerikaanse, dutchies barely say amerikaanse

If you want to say 'I am American' you should say 'Ik ben Amerikaans'. If you want to say 'I am an American' you should say 'Ik ben een Amerikaan(se)'.

ik heb iemand verloren en ja en je hebt gelijk maar als je uit rotterdam komt weet je dat de meerderheid van de mensen dat woord meerdere keren per zin zegt maar ik zou er voortaan op letten

dutch is not french we dont use male female words. amerikaanse could be used for both male and female unless your from holland you will never understand why we use se after amerikaan i can also not explain it as you do no not have an equivalent thing in america
