How to Set up & Install Coilovers On Your Car

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Have had this video requested a few times so I figured we get it made. In this video, we cover how to install and set up your coilovers as well as address some common issues that people have. We are using my 2017 Subaru WRX STI as the install car. I have a second-hand set of Fortune Auto 510s with Hyper co springs, however, all coilovers should install in the same fashion and follow the same procedure.
Order of Operations for adjusting your suspension:
1. Height
2. Camber
3. Toe

Man I did it!!! I’m following your list for 450 hp I’m hoping it’s going to be a fast and reliable sleeper. I’m definitely going to do suspension and brakes when I get it back. Thanks for all the effort and energy you do for this community that I have found. Coming from only having Trans Ams. I really enjoy just driving my Subaru.

Tanner I just wanted to thank you man after watching a few of your oldie but goodie coil-over videos I got mine installed tonight on my 04’ sti. Relatively easy, but I like to see it before I attempt it as I know my limits lol. Based on your recommendation and also doing some research of my own I went with the Fortune Auto 500’s (with rear camber plates and the default 8k front/ 6k rear spring rates). Stoked to get the height adjustment down to take it for a spin. Thanks again bud!!! ☄️

Pro Tip. General bolt info Turn the nut. Hold the bolt. So impact goes on nut, “never” the bolt. Otherwise the torque applied to bolt causes internal twisting and compromises the rigidity and strength. Leads to wear. Often times why you can’t reuse them, or don’t stay tight.

Hey smeedia I love your videos and i know this isnt really related to this video or anything, but do you have any recommendations for wideband o2 sensors? I have a 2006 STI with some bolt ons and an fp blue turbo and looking for a good wideband sensor so i can monitor it real time while tracking down intake leaks and fueling issues. You dont have to answer but I appreciate it, figure youd know given all the crazy builds!
