This video was short, concise and clear. Helped so much with stringing my bow. Thank you guys a lot!
This is the clearest instructions I have seen. I was so confused with the others. Thank goodness you mentioned that the limbs point toward the target! Somehow I just couldn’t figure that out with everyone else’s video.
I had problems identifying the limbs, but your video is the only one that explains how to differentiate them if they are not marked, Thanks!
Was very helpful thank you 😊 new hobby is awesome
Thank you, I finally got it
The intro to this video was as cool and refreshing as an ice cold can of Colorado Koolaid.
I was struggling with arm my new arch. But the video is amazing very detailed I sucess!!!
THANK YOU!
Do you have any takedown bow with metal riser? More budget friendly, beginner bow.
great vid! i liked that stringer, went to the stringer link you provide, but didn't see it there (possibly what's for sale at this time is a different color?). could you post the link &/or SKU # so that i can find it? thanks.

The one I use is just a "custom color" so it doesn't "walk off" on me. It is this stringer though: www.3riversarchery.com/limbsaver-recurve-bow-stringer.html
After analyzing the limbs it seems that they sent me two uppers, they did not send bottom ...
😎👍
Glad I watched this! I got my first take-down a couple of weeks ago and evidently I put the bottom limb on the top. I've been shooting it with no issues that I'm aware of. Does it make a difference? Thanks for the video!

Normally the lower limb is a "touch" stiffer than the top limb to give a proper tiller. So having them upside-down can be an issue for bow efficiency and performance. Glad the video was of some help. Best of luck, and reach out to us if you run into any questions or issues.

How do we know that the limbs tip are the type that has been reinforced? And for tip aren't reinforced, how to be sure?
@3RiversArchery
Жыл бұрын
Best is to check with the bowyer. A reinforced tip will have layers of phenolic or fiberglass pieces on the tips. If you cannot confirm it is a dense material like this (antler/horn is not dense enough), or if it did not come with a high performance string, then it is best to use a Dacron string. To be on the safe side.
Many bi or tri colored strings appear to be twisted. Is twisting necessary when stringing your bow? I am interested in using fur silencers...will that help them stay in the string?
@3RiversArchery

This is the Flemish twist style of bow string. It does allow for twisting the string while it stretches (which all strings stretch some). It is the best string style for using with string silencers (especially fur) as they can be put through the twists for a solid install.
Can I store this bow strung, so should I have unstring it?
@3RiversArchery

You can store the bow strung, but be sure to keep it off the tip. So hanging from a peg, or lying on its side. If you plan to go longer than a week between shooting sessions, then unstringing is the best practice.
Any info on how to set up the sight and arrow rest for this bow? .... I'm new.

@@3RiversArchery Thanks, but its the sights I need help with. Lots of little screws.
I just got my first recurve bow but the limbs are straight and not curved like yours so when I attempted to assemble it for the first time to practice doing it I got a bit confused. Any tips?

Please email us some pictures and/or give us a call. We will see what we can do to help. Might be a fiberglass bow, but with some images we can see what you are working with.

My bow is 60lb how can I make it lighter ? Should change all of it just limps ?
@3RiversArchery

It would depend on what bow you have. If a takedown bow with laminated limbs, yes buying new lighter weight limbs is the best option. For a one-piece bow, a bowyer would need to look at it, but some can be sanded or tapered to reduce pull weight. Though this is very much dependent upon the bow itself. Plus, usually no more than five pounds can be removed.

@@3RiversArchery yes I have take down now, thank you I’ll just by lighter limps 🙏
i have the Edge recurve bow and when I tighten the limb bolts, the limbs will still move around in the limb pockets. the bolts will not tighten any further. Is this normal. they won't move once I string the bow

If the limbs are wiggling side to side, that is not a good fit for them. Are they a different manufacture's limb? There are a lot of bows designed the same, but don't always allow for interchange of limbs. So might be Samick Sage limbs on an Edge riser. If not, you may want to look into adding something to the pocket that snugs the fit up. As they shouldn't have any slop in the pocket.
PLEASE- this whole time I was using the stringer as the bowstring- I was wondering why it was so long 😭😭
No one told me to buy a bow stringer soo

Some bows come with stringers and some do not. It would depend on what bow manufacturer you go with. You can see our selection of stringers here: www.3riversarchery.com/buy/bows/bow-accessories/bow-stringers
